Haas died on 1 April 1989, Friendly Nursing Home, RD1 Pitman, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 91.²

Harry C. "Baldy" Haas, 91, of RD1 Klingerstown, died Saturday evening in Friendly Nursing Home, RD1 Pitman, where he was a resident since Feb. 16.
Born at RD1 Klingerstown, Aug. 8 1897, he was a son of the late Simon P. and Emma Seiler Haas. He was educated in Upper Mahantongo Township schools.
Mr. Haas was a retired farmer and a former Pennsylvania Department of Transportation foreman for 30 years.
He was employed by Mandata Poultry Plant, RD1 Herndon, until retiring in 1981.
He served for 12 years as a school board member of former Upper Mahantongo school.
He was a fire warden for 65 years in Upper Mahantango Township area and was a Republican Committeeman in Upper Mahantango Township for 50 years.
Mr. Haas was a member of Salem United Church of Christ Church and Sunday school, RD1 Klingerstown, and served on the church consistory for many years. He was a member of Klingerstown Fire Company and Mahantango Fire Company, Pitman, Herndon Lodge 702, F&AM, and Harrisburg Consistory.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen L. Erdman, who he married on June 6, 1921; two sons, Donald E. and Harry A. Jr., both of RD1 Klingerstown; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd, Harrisburg; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Salem UCC, with the Rev. Bruce Dalious officiating. Interment will be in Salem UCC Cemetery, RD1 Klingerstown. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RD1 Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements.

     Margaret Catherine Erdman was born on 11 April 1913, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Ira Irvin Erdman and Amanda B. Fessler. Margaret Catherine Erdman died on 11 July 1931, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 18. The cause of death was a fracture at the base of the skull after being struck by an automobile. A number of newspapers covered the incident. One account of the accident:
Two Girls Killed; Youth Seriously Injured by Intoxicated Driver
Two girls were killed and the youth with them was seriously injured about ten o'clock Saturday night, when they were struck by an automobile the driver of which was said to be intoxicated.
The dead girls are Miss Margaret Erdman, aged eighteen the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Erdman, of Valley View. She suffered a fractured skull, fractured legs, internal injuries and died instantly. Her companion Miss Leona Holdeman, aged eighteen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Holdeman of Hegins, also suffered a fractured skull and died a few minutes after reaching the office of Dr. I. E. Sausser, of Valley Viw where she was taken immediately after the accident. She was thrown about seventy five feet by the impact. The youth who was with them, Carl Lubold, aged twenty, of Hegins, was wedged between the bumper and radiator of the automobile and was dragged more than a hundred feet. He is a patient at the Pottsville Hospital, where his condition is said to be e serious.
The accident occured in front of the new Hegins Township School as Miss Edman and Lubold, who were sweethearts, were escorting Miss Holdeman to her home after all had attended a picnic.
Peter Gincerowski, 17, of Pitman, was the driver and was committed to the county jail after having been pronounced intoxicated by Dr. Sausser.
The two girls, chums and schoolmates for many years, were members of Mrs. James Schrope's Sunday School class of the Lutheran Church, and with other members of the class had spent the day at a picnic at Carsonia Park, Reading. They dispersed at Hegins, and Leona, who lived at the western end of Hegins, started to walk home with Margaret, who lived at the eastern end of Valley View.
They were met by Carl Lubold, and the three of them started for the Erdman home in Valley View. They passed the Holderman home on their way, far from here the accident occurred.
According to witnesses, the three were struck from the rear by the car traveling in the same direction as they were.
Another car, occupied by Ralph Swalm, William Herb and Earl Williams, came along shortly after the accident happened. The girls were picked up and rushed to the office of Dr. Sausser, where the one girl was pronounced dead, and the other found to be dying. Due to the condition of their faces, covered with blood and dirt and the excitement, they were not recognized for possibly 20 minutes, and then they were recognized by the doctor and his wife, and their families sent for. A car following the Swalm car, found Lubold unconscious, and holding onto the bumper of the death car, and he was also removed to the doctor's office.
Lubold was removed to his home, after receiving treatment in the doctor's office, and on Sunday afternoon removed to the Pottsville Hospital, where he is suffering with concussion of the brain, extensive abrasions and lacerations of the body, and possible fractures, although the X-rays taken 30 far have failed to reveal any fractures.

Both girls were killed instantly while walking with Lubold toward Valley View, when the car, traveling in the same direction, struck them from the rear.
The Erdman girl was picked up where she struck while the Holderman girl was driven almost seventy-five feet away from the • scene of actual occurrence.
Patrolman Arthur Ditchfield, of the Schuylkill Haven Detail of the State Highway Patrol was assigned to the case, who took Gincerowski, who at first denied being the driver of the automobile, into custody.
Later he confessed that he was alone in the car at the time of the accident.
Investigation on the part of Officer Ditchfield disclosed that he was operating the car without license plates and he is further alleged to have told the officer that he did not possess an operator's license. The car was also without brakes, a fact admitted by Gincerowski, who said he had bought the machine on July 4th with a bad check.
He was pronounced under the influence of liquor at the office of Dr. | View, Sausser, after Deputy which he Coroner was of committed Valley to the Schuylkill County prison pending a hearing on two counts of voluntary manslaughter and having operated his car without registration plates, without a driver's' license and with having been a drunken driver.

He pleaded guilty to the two involuntary manslaughter and to being a drunken driver. He was committed to the Huntingdon Reformatory. Sentences on the other charges were suspended.⁷

Isaiah J. Klock, 56, of 453 Walnut street, a Pennsylvania Railroad carptenter, died in the Mary M. Packer hospital at 1:45 o'clock Monday p. m. after an illness of ten days.
The deceased had been in failing health the past two years but was aoout his daily duties until ten days ago when he suffered a stroke. He was under the ace of Dr. C. E. Phillips and was admitted to the hospital Monday noon.
He was born in Pillow, February 16, 1882, and entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company May 2, 1916. He was employed on the Wilkes-Barre Division as a carpenter and was well known among fellow workers.
He leaves his wife and the following brothers and sisters: Daniel Klock, Dornsife; William and Minnie Klock, Dalmatia: Mrs. James Wagner, Herndon, and Joseph Klock, Sunbury.

DORNSIFE - William H. "Bill" Wolfe Jr., 65, of RR1 Dornsife passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born July 16, 1939, in Danville, a son of the late William H. and Catherine E. (Bower) Wolfe. He was a lifetime resident of Dornsife. On March 2, 1968, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunter Station, he was united in marriage to the former Patsy L. Erdman, who survives.
Bill was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School.
He was an outside truck tire salesman for Bastian Tire Sales, Shamokin Dam, for many years before retiring.
Mr. Wolfe was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunter Station.
He was also a life member of the Herndon Fire Company.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchild, who was his pride and joy; golfing; bowling; and playing cards.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Patsy, are one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Douglas Mengle of Mount Pleasant Mills; one grandson, Matthew William Mengle; one brother, Robert L. Wolfe of RR1 Dornsife; his mother-in-law, Bertha I. Erdman of RR1 Herndon; sisters and brothers-in-laws; nieces; and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunter Station, where the funeral will follow at 10 with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Roy C Kissinger, 79, of Pitman, passed away Friday, May 22nd, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Roy was born in Klingerstown, on August 9, 1940, a son of the late Eva (Davis) and Charles E Kissinger and grandson of the late Elura B and Walter H. Davis.
He graduated from the Tri-Valley High School and from Penn State Schuylkill. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1963-1969.
Roy was employed as an Insurance Broker and was a partner at Tri-County Insurance Associates retiring in July of 2018 after 58 years of service.
Roy was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown where he served as a Sunday School teacher, was on various committees and was a Church Council President.
He was a 52 year member of the Hegins-Valley View Rotary Club, he served as Treasurer and President; served as Governor of District 737 in 1987-1988; was a Paul Harris Fellow and Major Donor of the Rotary Foundation; his International Awards include, Citation for Meritorious Service, Service Above Self Award, and Distinguished Service Award; He was honored to serve as International President's Representative to District 747.
Roy was a Renaissance Brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Susquehanna University. He was active in Boy Scouting growing up and sat on the Eagle Scout Board of Review as the Advancement Chairman, was a certified merit badge instructor, and bestowed many Eagle Awards on area Scouts.
He was a 50 year member of Valley Lodge F & A M No. 737, he was also a member of the Millersburg Forest Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Valley of Harrisburg A.A.S.R.
Roy was a member of the Klingerstown Fire Company, where he served as President and Chairman of the Park creation and was also a member of the Mahantongo Fire Company in Pitman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Alice Mary (Wetzel) Kissinger, they were married December 21, 1963; one daughter, Kathryn K. Snowe and her husband David of State College; one son Andrew P. Kissinger and his wife Crystal Peachey of Valley View and one grandson Charles E. Kissinger of Valley View.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund, 1560 Sherman Ave. Evanston, IL 60201.

Born in Dornsife R.D., Sept. 18, 1921, Mr. Erdman was a son of Mrs. Mabel (Heim) Erdman, Valley View, and the late Miles Erdman.
Mr. Erdman was employed as a carpenter foreman at Broscius Lumber Co., Sunbury. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown. His first wife, the former Grace Attinger, died April, 1966. In July of 1970 he married the former Bernadette Haley at Trevorton.

Lena is survived by two daughters, Trena M Landis and her husband William of Lebanon, and Betty A Warfel and her husband David of Millersburg; a granddaughter, Crystal Richard of Harrisburg; a grandson, Jordan Warfel and his wife Kristy of Etters; a great-grandson, Joshua Richard of Orlando, FL; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Richard of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the James A Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, with Rev Curtis Zemencik officiating.

He was born Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1934, in Upper Mahanoy Township, a son of the late Miles and Mabel E. (Heim) Erdman. His wife, the former Anita Dworchak, died on Nov. 22.
Mr. Erdman was a self-employed master carpenter, and also worked for Zartman Construction. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Ernest Eyrich and Lena Mundt, on 9 January 1924, Dubuque, Dubuque County, IA.^1,4 In 1930, Leo and his wife Alma were living in Geneva, IL, where he was the manager of a lumber yard. Their household included no children.⁵ Leo Francis Klinger died in January 1973, IL at age 80.¹ He was buried at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, Kane County, IL.⁶

     Elizabeth Klinger was born on 18 March 1894, Fairbank, Buchanan County, IA.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Albert Klinger and Ellen Augusta Miller. Elizabeth Klinger married Martin A. Klenzman, son of Ferdinand Klenzman and Maria (?), on 22 November 1915, Waverly, Bremer County, IA.² Elizabeth Klinger died on 29 June 1961, Mercy Hospital, Oelwein, Fayette County, IA, at age 67.³ She was buried at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Fairbank, Fayette County, IA.¹

     Frances Mary Klinger was born on 16 August 1906, Fairbank, Buchanan County, IA.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Albert Klinger and Ellen Augusta Miller. Frances Mary Klinger married Erwin Steven Corcoran, son of John Corcoran and Nora A. Leehey, on 11 April 1928, Fairbank, Buchanan County, IA.² Frances Mary Klinger died on 15 March 1972, Fairbank, Buchanan County, IA, at age 65.³

Klinger and Barbara Merkel Wiest, on 11 February 1890, Black Hawk County, IA.^1,2 Frances Barbara Gansert died on 11 March 1905, Presbyterian Hospital, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, IA, at age 33.¹

Mrs. O.W. Klinger, wife of a merchant at Glasgow, north of this city, died Saturday night at 11 o'clock at the Presbyterian hospital in this city. The cause of death is not reported by the physicians who had the case in charge. The lady was brought to the hospital here about two weeks ago, and had been under treatment from that time to the time of her death. Mrs. Klinger's husband is engaged in the general merchandise business at Glasgow, and the family is among the most highly respected citizens of that section of the country.
Deceased is survived by her husband and six children, the latter aged from twelve years down to four months. The children are as follows: Beulah, Quintah [Lila], Fred, George, Percy, and William Albert. Mrs. Klinger's maiden name was Gansart, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gansart of this city, residing at 414 Dane street. She was married to Mr. Klinger fourteen years ago. Mrs. Klinger was thirty-three years of age. The lady's many friends in Waterloo and in her home community will be pained to hear of her death, and deep sorrow will be felt by the friends of the family for the bereaved husband and six little children left without a mother.
The funeral will be held at the United Evangelical church on Logan avenue tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, and the remains will be laid to rest in Fairview cemetery.

He was born Jan. 13, 1896, at Gresham, Iowa, to Otis and Frances (Jansert) Klinger. He married Gertrude Wilcox on Dec. 16, 1916, at Waterloo, Iowa. She died in February.
They farmed near Ferryville for more than 25 years prior to moving to Prairie du Chien 10 years ago.

George Klinger, 46, former Waterloo resident, died at, 7:15 a. m. Tuesday in a hospital at La Crosse, Wis., of complications following a major operation for a stomach ailment. He had been ill six weeks.
He was born in January, 1900 in Waterloo the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Klinger and resided here until moving in 1918 to Ferryville, Wis., where he had since resided.
Surviving are his wife and two sons Howard, 17, and Harvey, 19, at home in Ferryville; two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Harris, 2635 East Fourth street, who has been with him in La Crosse, and Mrs. Albert Koob, Jesup, Ia., also three brothers, Fred Klinger, Chicago, Percy Klinger, Ferryville, and William Beiman, Frederika, Ia.
