Charles Allen (Chuck) Wilson, the son of James Carl and LaVonne (Corcoran) Wilson, was born May 17, 1961, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Washington Senior High School, in Cedar Rapids, Class of 1978 and later attended Kirkwood Community College.
On May 12, 2001, Charles was united in marriage to Alanna (Kearney) Wilson, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, Iowa.
Charles enjoyed sharing his home life with Alanna for 22 years and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton.
We are sad to announce the passing of Chuck Monday morning, May 6, 2024, at his home in Newton, at the age of 62 years, surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
A visitation with the family will be 2:00 p.m. until 3 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Teahen Funeral Home, 3100 – F. Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and again Friday, May 17, 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton. A Private graveside services and burial will be Friday, May 17, at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
The Pence~Reese Funeral Home, in Newton, is in charge of the arrangements.
Those left to honor Chuck’s memory include his wife Alanna of Newton.
