William Boyer, 86, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Pillow, died Saturday at the home of his son, Dr. Edward C. Boyer, Johnstown. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas L. Snyder, Pillow. Burial was made in the Union Cemetery, Pillow. He was a member of the Reformed Church, Pillow.
He is survived also by another daughter, Mrs, Clara Van Newkirk, Harrisburg.

Alfred Mervlne, aged 77 years, well-known and highly-esteemed resident of Frackville, passed away at 8:30 o'clock this morning at his late home, Line street, after an illness of complications.
The deceased was born in Barry Township, but lived in Frackville for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Junior Mechanics.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. James Brehony, Mrs. William Hadesty, Alfred, Curtis and William, all of Frackville; Mrs. Andrew Catherman. Prospect Park; Mrs. Robert Oakes, Tremont, and Charles, of Reading; one brother, Frank, of Gordon.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

HENRY E. SCHWALM
Henry E. Schwalm, age 71 years, died at his home at Fearnot, Schuylkill County, on Sunday. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schwalm.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Clinton Koppenhaver, Mrs. William Klinger, and Lee Schwalm, all of Spring Glen; Nathan Schwalm and Mrs. William Mausser at home. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Victor Blyler, Hamburg; two brothers, Nathan Schwalm. Williamstown, Monroe Schwalm, Valley, View and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the residence this Thursday morning with further services in the Fearnot church. Rev. H. M. Mentzer, United Brethren pastor will officiate and interment will be made in the Fearnot cemetery.

MRS. VICTOR BLYLER
Mrs. Ellen B. Blyler, 88, of Hamburg, mother of Curtih R. Miller of Joliett, died on May 8 in the Wernersville State Hospital.
A native of Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Justina Klinger Schwalm. She was married twice, first to Charles Miller, who died, and then to Victor Blyler, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blyler was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Fearnot.
Surviving are two sons, James E. Miller of Valley View, and Curtin R. Miller of Joliett; two daughters,Mrs. Dewey Artz and Mrs. Beulah Dunleavy of Hamburg; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held in the Fearnot Evangelical United Brethren Church on Sunday, the Rev. H. M. Mentzer officiating. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. A. Wolfgang
Mrs. Agatha Wolfgang, 78, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.M. Underkoffler, Valley View, Sunday morning, following an illness of several weeks. She was a faithful member of the United Brethren church and until recent years an active worker. She is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Clara Underkoffler, Mrs. Bella Troutman, Mrs. Amelia Romberger, Valley View, and Mrs. Mary Rickert of Allentown.
Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Underkoffler on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with services at the house and burial in the United Brethren cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. A. M. Rhine of Valley View and Rev. Arndt of Annville.
