SELINSGROVE -- Charles Adam "Bud" Bordner, 77, of Orange St., died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where he had been admitted earlier this month.
He was born June 27, 1922, in Herndon, a son of the late Frederick Clarence and Edna (Wilt) Bordner. He was married to Grace A. Klock, who preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 1978.
He attended the Herndon High School.
He served in the Navy during World War II, aboard the USS Philadephia. He was honorably discharge in 1946.
Mr. Bordner moved from Herndon to Selinsgrove in 1957. He retired in 1987 from Selinsgrove Auto Parts. Earlier he was employed by Schreffler Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac, Sunbury, and by Bohner Chevrolet, Dornsife, where he worked as a service manager, mechanic and machinist.
He enjoyed camping and attending his Navy ship reunions. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631. Selinsgrove; life member of the Dauntless Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Selinsgrove; member of the Dalmatia American Legion Post; 51-year member of the Lower Northumberland County Motor Club; a member of Layfette Lodge Free Accepted Masons 194, Selinsgrove; the Scottish Rite, Valley of Williamsport; and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Sunbury Forest 65.
Mr. Bordner was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Dorthea and Ronald Stahl, of RR2 Port Trevorton; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Patricia, of RR3 Selinsgrove; long-time friend, Evelyn Hackenburg, of Shamokin Dam; one brother, Belford "Hap," of Hunter Station; one sister, Arvella Grimm, of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Katrina Barton, of Covington, Rodney Stahl, of Boalsburg, Kristin Aucker, of Port Trevorton, and Lauren Finnerty, of Selinsgrove; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren. Shelly, Stacey and Kim; four step-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home by his brother, lay-minister Belford Bordner.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, at "Red Cross," Dornsife.

He was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Sunbury, a son of the late Charles A. "Bud" and Grace A. (Klock) Bordner. On Dec. 29, 2009, he married the former Rosetta M. Hoffman who survives.
He was a 1963 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
Donald had been first employed at the Penn Valley Airport, then as a car salesman for Schreffler Cadillac/Buick/Pontiac/GMC Trucks, Sunbury, and Smith Cadillac/Pontiac, Selinsgrove. He retired in 2007 as the owner/operator of AMS, Port Trevorton.
He was a member of Arbogast Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1229, Middleburg, the Snyder County Historical Society, and a life member of the NRA.
Donald was an avid hunter, enjoyed helping at Kid's Grove in Selinsgrove, and caring for his farm animals, namely his longhorns, his Clydesdale, mule and pony. He catered pork bar-b-que's just for the love of it.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lauren M. and John Finnerty, of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, Aidan, Liam and Fiona; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorthea M. and Ronald Stahl, of Kreamer; five stepchildren; four stepgrandchildren; one nephew; two nieces; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. Patrick L. Sipes officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.

SUNBURY - Mrs. Grace A. Lenig, 73, Augustaville, Sunbury RD3, died Sunday at 4:40 p.m. in the Sunbury Community Hospital where she had been admitted March 1.
Born in Jackson "township Oct. 19, 1900, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Sevila Schwalm Erdman.
In 1920, she married Herbert Lenig, who is a guest in the Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Frackville.
A resident of Sunbury RD3 for the past four years, Mrs. Lenig previously lived in High Spire. She was a member of St Peter's (White) Lutheran Church, Sunbury RD, the Golden Age Club of Sunbury and the Sunbury American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ernest Lenig of Hometown; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Clark of Cerritos, Calif., and Mrs. Edith Bordner of Harrisburg; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five sisters Mrs. Isaac Byerly of Sunbury RD1, Mrs. Daniel Klock, Mrs. Sadie Spade, Mrs. Anna Bucher and Mrs. William Latsha, all of Dornsife RD.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev. James A. Mummert.

SUNBURY - Mrs. Grace A. Lenig, 73, Augustaville, Sunbury RD3, died Sunday at 4:40 p.m. in the Sunbury Community Hospital where she had been admitted March 1.
Born in Jackson "township Oct. 19, 1900, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Sevila Schwalm Erdman.
In 1920, she married Herbert Lenig, who is a guest in the Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Frackville.
A resident of Sunbury RD3 for the past four years, Mrs. Lenig previously lived in High Spire. She was a member of St Peter's (White) Lutheran Church, Sunbury RD, the Golden Age Club of Sunbury and the Sunbury American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ernest Lenig of Hometown; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Clark of Cerritos, Calif., and Mrs. Edith Bordner of Harrisburg; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five sisters Mrs. Isaac Byerly of Sunbury RD1, Mrs. Daniel Klock, Mrs. Sadie Spade, Mrs. Anna Bucher and Mrs. William Latsha, all of Dornsife RD.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev. James A. Mummert.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

DORNSIFE - Mrs. Mary M. Latsha, 68, Dornsife RD, Little Mahanoy Township, was pronounced dead on arrival at 1: 15 p.m. Saturday at the Sunbury Community Hospital. She was stricken ill at her home and was transported to the hospital by the Trevorton Ambulance.
Mrs. Latsha had been ill the past few months and was recently hospitalized at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Jackson Township, July 13, 1909, the daughter of the late Daniel and Sevllla Schwalm Erdman. She had been a resident of Jackson and Little Mahanoy townships all her life.
She married William I. Latsha, who survives, in 1926.
Mrs. Latsha was a member of St, Peter's Lutheran Church of Red Cross, the Sunbury Chapter 266 Order of Eastern Star, Idella Rebecca Lodge 58 of Dornsife, was past noble grand of the lodge, and was active in the Ladies Aid Society of the church and served as its secretary for many years.
In addition to ber husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Kratzer of Sunbury and Mrs. John Reffeor of Sunbury RD; four sons, Arlo of Trevorton, Merlin of Dornsife RD, Mark of Herndon and Ronald of Sunbury RD; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Isaac Byerley of Trevorton, Mrs. Anna Bucher and Mrs. Sadie Spade, both of Dornsife RD.

Mrs. Latsha was a member of St, Peter's Lutheran Church of Red Cross, the Sunbury Chapter 266 Order of Eastern Star, Idella Rebecca Lodge 58 of Dornsife, was past noble grand of the lodge, and was active in the Ladies Aid Society of the church and served as its secretary for many years.
In addition to ber husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Kratzer of Sunbury and Mrs. John Reffeor of Sunbury RD; four sons, Arlo of Trevorton, Merlin of Dornsife RD, Mark of Herndon and Ronald of Sunbury RD; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Isaac Byerley of Trevorton, Mrs. Anna Bucher and Mrs. Sadie Spade, both of Dornsife RD.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from St. Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. officiating.
Burial will be In St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross.
Friends and relatives may call at the church from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until the time of the service Wednesday.
Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross. Funeral arrangements are by the Robert G. Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton.

Some sources record that Walter W. Erdman was born on 13 July 1908, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He married Clara M. Polan, daughter of John Polan and Clara Lenig.3 Walter W. Erdman died on 29 May 1961, Community Hospital, Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, at age 51.2 He was buried on 1 June 1961, at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross, Northumberland County, PA.2

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Theresa Lenig of Breinigsville and Daniel and Ruth Lenig of Macungie; one daughter, Diane Daubert of Northampton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Clair Williard of Herndon and Charlotte and Mark Ferster of Dornsife; and nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Third and Queen streets, Northumberland, followed by a funeral service at 11 with the Rev. Dale Biesecker officiating.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Arlene’s memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 300 Queen St., Northumberland, PA 17857.
