Robert A. Erdman was born on 3 June 1935, Herndon, Northumberland County, PA.1,2 He was the son of Arthur Raymon Erdman and Margaret Elizabeth Klock. Robert A. Erdman married Sandra Hippensteel, daughter of M. Lee Hippensteel and Clara Herrington, in November 1955.2,3 Robert A. Erdman died on 3 January 2017, Mifflin Township, Columbia County, PA, at age 81.2

Robert A. Erdman, 81, of Mifflin Township passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family, under the compassionate care of Columbia Montour Hospice.
Born June 3, 1935, in Herndon, he was a son of the late Aurthur R. and Margaret E. (Klock) Erdman. Bob graduated from Mifflin Township High School in 1953. He and his wife, Sandra (Hippensteel) Erdman, were married 61 years.
Bob was employed at Wise Potato Chip Company from 1953 to 1972, and Valley Seeding Company from 1972 until 2002, where he worked on many seeding and landscaping projects throughout the state including, Raystown Lake, Fort Indiantown Gap and the Pa. Turnpike. He also owned and operated Erdman Nursery and Landscaping from 1960 to 2015. Bob had his own nursery, where he grew many of his favorite trees. He was extremely knowledgeable in his field and assisted many in beautifying their homes and businesses.
After his retirement, Bob enjoyed planting vegetable gardens around his property. He was so proud of his produce, always sending along some of the day’s harvest with anyone who stopped to visit. Bob was truly a man of the earth and will be greatly missed by all who enjoyed the fruits of his labor.
Bob was an avid hunter, but he enjoyed passing on the tradition to his granddaughter, Mariah, more than hunting itself. His ultimate pride and joy were his two granddaughters, Carly and Mariah, who will always treasure the wonderful memories of their “Pop.”
Bob was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Pa. Farm Bureau, and Mifflin Township Forest Rangers and Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters: Roberta Erdman and companion, Donald Lamon Jr; Brenda Casey and husband, James; son, David Erdman, and wife, Deborah; granddaughters: Carolyn “Carly” Casey and Mariah Casey; sisters: Marie Ruhmel and Betty Hawthorne; brothers: Gene Erdman and wife, Nancy; Ronald Erdman and wife, Lisa; and many loyal friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 E. Third St., Nescopeck, with his pastor, the Rev. Chad Hebrink, officiating. Interment will follow in Mifflinville Cemetery.

He was. a member of Simeons Evangelical Congregational Church, Gratz; Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 702, Herndon; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rites, Valley of Willlamsport; Zemble Shrine, Harrisburg; Masonic Club, Sunbury; Patriotic Order of the Sons of America Camp 30, Shamokin; and Pillow Fire Company.
He was a life member of the Camp of Pennsylvania of the Patriotic Order of the Sons of America and of the Trevorton East End Rod and Gun Club. He was a past president of the Susquehanna Club, Williamsport.
He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Jackson of Norwich, N.Y; one brother, Nevin of Herndon RD1; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, by the Rev. Grace Lawrence. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Herndon RD1.

DORNSIFE -- Walter L. "Wally" Klock, 79, of RR1 Dornsife, a lifelong resident, died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He had been in ill health for four years. He was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 28.
He was born on May 26, 1920, in Little Mahanoy Township, a son of the late Daniel N. and Martha M. (Erdman) Klock. He was married on June 2, 1940, to the former Vinnie Klinger in Herndon.
He was educated in Little Mahanoy Township schools.
Mr. Klock was employed as a shovel operator in the coal industry for many years. He last was employed by the Reading Coal Co., Trevorton, before retiring.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 551, Dornsife, Herndon Masonic Lodge 702, Free and Accepted Masons, the Harrisburg Consistory and the Trevorton East End Rod and Gun Club, Weikert. He served on the Little Mahanoy Township Board of Supervisors and on the school board of the Trevorton, West Cameron and Little Mahanoy Township school districts.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross. He 'was a past council member at the church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Doris and Carl Kahler of Dornsife and Sandra Reed of Gratz; five grandsons, Daniel Kahler, Timothy Kahler, Todd Reed, Andrew Kahler and Ty Reed; two granddaughters, Catherine Erb and Taryn Troutman; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Erdman, Mae Troutman and Grace Bordner; and one brother, Ray.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross. A service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at the church by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 551, Dornsife. The funeral will be conducted at 1 1 a.m. Monday at the church by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

DORNSIFE - Carl D. Kahler, 80, of Dornsife, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Trevorton, a son of the late Lee and Jenny (Crissinger) Kahler.
He was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School. He served in U.S. Army from Dec. 7, 1960, to Dec. 7, 1962.
Carl was married on June 25, 1960, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Red Cross to the former Doris Klock, who survives.
He was a resident of Dornsife the past 57 years. He retired as a machinist from AMP Inc., Selinsgrove. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Red Cross and the Dalmatia Legion Post No. 504.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling, camping, bowling, fishing, meeting friends for breakfast, family gatherings and working on cars.
In addition to his wife, Doris, Carl is survived by three sons, Daniel Kahler and wife, Maxine, of Dornsife, Timothy Kahler and wife, Joni, of Poquoson, Virginia, and Andrew Kahler and wife, Patricia, of Dornsife; a daughter, Catherine Erb and husband, Bryan, of Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Courtney Kahler, Adrienne Bobb and husband, Mark, Zachary Kahler, Laura Kahler, Ryan Erb, Elizabeth Erb, Melissa Davignon, Caitlyn Tait and husband, DaKotah, and Emily Foltz; five great-grandchildren, Addison Kahler, Finnley Bobb, Maxon Davignon, Bentley Sessions and Daniel Tait; a sister, June Reitz, of Selinsgrove; and mother-in-law, Vinnie Klock, of Northumberland.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Paul and John Kahler.
KAHLER - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 235 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, with Rev. Karis Hagen officiating. DORNSIFE - Carl D. Kahler, 80, of Dornsife, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Trevorton, a son of the late Lee and Jenny (Crissinger) Kahler.
He was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School. He served in U.S. Army from Dec. 7, 1960, to Dec. 7, 1962.
Carl was married on June 25, 1960, in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Red Cross to the former Doris Klock, who survives.
He was a resident of Dornsife the past 57 years. He retired as a machinist from AMP Inc., Selinsgrove. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Red Cross and the Dalmatia Legion Post No. 504.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling, camping, bowling, fishing, meeting friends for breakfast, family gatherings and working on cars.
In addition to his wife, Doris, Carl is survived by three sons, Daniel Kahler and wife, Maxine, of Dornsife, Timothy Kahler and wife, Joni, of Poquoson, Virginia, and Andrew Kahler and wife, Patricia, of Dornsife; a daughter, Catherine Erb and husband, Bryan, of Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Courtney Kahler, Adrienne Bobb and husband, Mark, Zachary Kahler, Laura Kahler, Ryan Erb, Elizabeth Erb, Melissa Davignon, Caitlyn Tait and husband, DaKotah, and Emily Foltz; five great-grandchildren, Addison Kahler, Finnley Bobb, Maxon Davignon, Bentley Sessions and Daniel Tait; a sister, June Reitz, of Selinsgrove; and mother-in-law, Vinnie Klock, of Northumberland.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Paul and John Kahler.
KAHLER - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 235 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife, with Rev. Karis Hagen officiating. GRATZ -- Lee E. Reed, 47, of Gratz, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. He had been ill for the past year and entered the hospital Aug. 23.
Born Sept. 18, 1945, in Sunbury, he was a son John W. and Edna (Michaels) Reed Sr. of Trevorton. He married the former Sandra Kluck in 1966. He was a resident of Gratz for the past 20 years, previously residing in Trevorton and Montoursville.
He was a 1963 graduate of Trevorton High School, where he was an outstanding athlete. He was a 1969 graduate of Mansfield University, where he played on the university baseball team, and he had attended Bucknell University for banking courses. He had recently been inducted into the Bernie Romanoski Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and had been active in the Gratz Little League, coaching for many years.
At the time of his death, he was president of the Gratz National Bank. He had been active in banking since 1970.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, and the Trevorton East End Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, Todd of Gratz and Ty of Harrisburg, one daughter, Taryn, at home, and two brothers, John W. Jr. and Thomas, both of Trevorton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary C. Reed.
The funeral will be conducted, at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Red Cross, by the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Cross.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.

Grace Arabella Klock married Charles Adam Bordner, son of Clarence Bordner and Edna Wilt, in 1942.4,3 Grace Arabella Klock died on 25 November 1978, Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Montour County, PA, at age 55.2

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, Selinsgrove. The Rev. J. Allen Snyder and the Rev. Glen B. Keidel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Cross.
At the request of the family, there will be no viewing tonight. Friends will be received in the funeral home Tuesday from 9 a.m. to the hour of the service.
