    Mrs. Sevilla Lahr Dies At Age Of 82
    Mrs. Sevilla Lahr, 82, died Wednesday at 10:15 p. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cardella Geise, 239½ Chestnut street, following a lingering illness.
    A native of the lower Northumberland County area, she was born December 18, 1870, a daughter of the William and Julian Wiest Dubendorf. She lived in Sunbury for the past 53 years and was the widow of M. L. W. Lahr, a former Sunbury school teacher, who died in 1932.
    Mrs. Lahr was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years.
    Survivors include two sons, Melvin Lahr, Fall River, Mass., and Truman Lahr, Allentown; three daughters, Mrs. Cardella Geise, Sunbury; Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, Selinsgrove R. D., and Mrs. Helen Fredericksen, Cross Rivers, N. Y; a sister, Mrs. John Middletown, and three brothers, Albert Dubendorf, Dalmatia; Daniel Dubendorf, Harrisburg, and Charles Dubendorf, of Oregon. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
    Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Shipman Memorial Chapel, in charge of Rev. C. Wayne Peterman, assistant pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and with interment in the West Side cemetery, Shamokin Dam. Friends ed to please omit flowers.

    Albert W. Dubendorf, Dalmatia, died Wednesday at 10:20 p. m. at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, and Mrs. Mark Shaffer, 'Dalmatia R. D. Death was due to complications. He was 75 years of age.
    A retired automobile mechanic, Mr. Dubendorf was born February 23, 1879 in Jordan Township, son of the late William and Julia Ann Wiest Dubendorf.
    Surviving are the following children: Jacob A. Dubendorf, Kenai, Alaska; Mrs. Mark: ShafDalmatia R. D; FranWilliamsport; Daniel L. Dubendorf, Denver, Colo; Gene Dubendorf, Port Clinton, and Mrs. Forrest Holtzman, Dalmatia. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild., two brothers, of Oregon, and Daniel Dubendorf, of New Cumberland. His wife died some years ago.
    Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. (EST) from the Hoover Funeral Home, Dalmatia, Rev. John Bucher, of the Uniontown Reformed Charge, will officiate and burial will be in the Dalmatia cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p. m.

    His wife, the former Mamie Herb, died in 1952. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Books, and daughter,' accompanied the body to Oregon.

    SUNBURY - Daniel W. Dubendorf, 98, of 1045 Masser St., died Saturday afternoon in Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
    Before being hospitalized, he was a resident at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
    Born in Mandata Nov. 22, 1889, he was a son of the late William and Juliann (Weist) Dubendorf. His wife, the former Gertrude Rebuck, died in 1946.
    He was a retired missionary and founder of Central Pennsylvania Gospel Band. He was a member of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury.
    He is survived by five children, Mrs. Amanda D. Kniss and Mrs. Ruth Strohecker, both of Sunbury, Lee of Northumberland, Mark E. of Romulus, N.Y., and Samuel S. of London, England; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A daughter, Pauline Hummel preceded him in death.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. LeRoy S. Heller. Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery.
    Visitors may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.

    Mrs. Paul was born May 10, 1891 at Leck Kill. She was a daughter of the late George Franklin and Mary Ann (Kahler) Wiest. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. Mrs. Paul resided in Shamokin from 1921 to 1955.
    Mrs. Paul's first husband, Edward R. Miller, died June 4, 1917. Her second husband, William Donald Paul, died May 11, 1967.
    Survivors are a daughter, Bessie Miller, Klingerstown R.D., and two step-children, Mrs. Oscar (Viola) Kehler, Snydertown, and Edward Paul, Arizona.

    John Francis Schreffler, aged 68 years, 7 months and 24 days died suddenly at his home in Pottsville street, Wiconisco, Wednesday morning at 7:15 from an ulcerated stomach and heart trouble.
    Mr. Schreffler had left home that morning for work and returned at about 7:00 o'clock stating he was very sick. The physician was called and upon his arrival a few minutes later found that Mr. Schreffler had expired.
    He was a former resident of Loyalton and for the past 18 years resided in Wiconisco. He was born in Greenbrier and on Dec. 25, 1893, married Sallie Dewitt who preceeded him in death Nov. 26. 1905. His second marriage was to Mrs. Ida Witmer Wiest on May 30, 1908.
    Surviving are his wife, one son Harry E. Shreffler of Lock Haven; six step-children, Clarence Wiest, Harry Wiest. Edward Wiest and Mrs. Tillie Rowe, all of Wiconisco; Harper Wiest of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Elizabeth Cox of Williamstown. Beside these are three brothers William and Edward Schreffler of Lock Haven and Daniel Schreffler and three sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Strausser of Sunbury; Mrs. Heim of Trevorton, and Mrs. Kerwin of Watsontown.
    Fraternally he was a member of the K. of G. E. and the U. M. W. of A.
    The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o clock, services being held from his home, the Rev. Lehman of the Grace Evangelical Church officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery, Williamstown.

    Carvin Richard Wiest, 62, a Mount Carmel man, died from complications and a heart ailment yesterday at the county almshouse along the Trevorton road.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Dyke funeral home south Oak street, this city, with Rev. Harry E. Boughey, of the First Congregational Church, conducting a service at 1:00 o'clock. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery. It was announced that visitors will be received at the funeral home between 7:00 and 9:00 this evening.
    The deceased was born in this city August 18, 1875, a son of the late Carvin and Caroline (Wagner) Wiest. For many years he was employed at regional collieries and also by the borough. He was a charter member of the Anthracite Fire Company Band. The Wiest home was in the 100 block on south Market street.
    There are no immediate survivors.

    Born in Hepler, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late William V. and Lizzie (Carl) Wiest.
    Mrs. Laver was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Peters.
    Surviving are five daughters. Dorothy C., widow of Ivan V. Kiefer, and Geraldine. w;dow of Irvin F. Kiefer, both of Geigertown; Helen B., wife of Donald Bramble, Elverson RD 1; Grace L.     Funeral services will be 10:30 a m. Saturday from Dengler Funeral Home. Main and streets, Birdsboro, with the Rev. J. Lynn Leavenworth officiating.
    Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Geigertown.
