  Funeral services for Ivan V. Kiefer, 55, husband of Dorothy C (Laver) Kiefer, Geigertown, will be 1:30 p m. Wednesday from Dengler Funeral Home, Main and Spruce streets, Birdsboro.
  The Rev. David Burkhart, pastor of St Paul s United Methodist Church, Geigertown, and the Rev. Delaine E. Story, pastor of St. Peter's Baptist Church, St Peters, will officiate.
  Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Geigertown.
  A viewing will be 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
  Mr. Keifer died Sunday night in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center where he was a patient since Dec. 19. He was ill five months.
  Born in Robeson Township, Berks County, he was a son of Amos G. Kiefer, Geigertown, and the late Olive (Buck) Kiefer.
  Mr. Kiefer was employed by Birdsboro Corp. 35 years until he became ill in September, 1973.
  He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
  Surviving with his widow and father are two daughters, Betty Jane, wife of Robert Sarvis, West Lawn; Carol L., wife of Leon H. Lilley 3rd, Geigertown, and three granddaughters.

  Surviving with his widow and father are a daughter, Joanne, at home, and two brothers, Marvin J. and Ivan V., both of Geigertown.

  Although her mobility was limited by her long term illness, Jean enjoyed playing games with her neighbors and Words With Friends. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Selinsgrove.

  Jean's survivors include her partner of 12 years, Robert Lomison of Carlisle, daughter Patricia Gerrity, sister Mamie Hubler, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
  A gathering will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Pine Manor Communtity Center, 100 Oriole Drive, Carlisle.
