    Mrs. Cordella May Geise, 239 2 Chestnut street. Sunbury, widow of Dr. Samuel B. Geise, died Tuesday at 2 p m. at her residence the result of heart attack. She had a previous history of a cardiac condition, but her death was sudden unexpected. Her age was 68 two months, and 22 days.
    Mrs. Geise, a retired emplove front the Selinsgrove State School, a position left a year and a half ago, born in Pillow March 10, [1892]. daughter of the late Michael L. W. and Sevilla Dubendorf Lahr. Mrs. Giese's father was known as Professor Lahr for year principal of Sunbury High School. She and her family moved here when she was a child.
    Her affiliations include membership in Zion Lutheran Church. Her husband the late Dr. Geise, died February, 1937, also of a heart attack.
    Surviving are. two sons Samnel L. Geise, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Harolds E. Geise, of LaC anada, California, a daughter, Ruth, wife of William Wood, of Fishkill, N.Y; two brothers. Melvin Lahr, of Lynn. Mass.: Truman Lahr, of Sunbury. R. D. 2: two sisters, Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, of Hummel's Wharf, Mrs. Helen Frederikson, Loss River, N.Y., and seven grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be from the Korten funeral home Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Dr. Robert W Koons, officiating. Interment will be in Pomfret Manor. There will he no visitation and friends are asked to omit flowers. Contributions to the heart fund are asked in place of flowers.

    Rites Held Thursday For Mrs. Zimmerman
    Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs Anna Lahr Zimmerman, 76, of Moorestown, N.J., a former resident of Sunbury, from the chapel of the West Side Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
    She was the daughter of the late Professor and Mrs. Michael L. W. Lahr of Sunbury. He r father served as principal of Sunbury High School from 1917- 1925. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the 1912 at Sunbury High School and a graduate of the Williamsport General Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed for many years in the office of her brother-in-law, Dr. Samuel Geise.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John Boyer of Moorestown, N.J; two grandchildren Lynne and Scott: a sister Mrs. Einar Frederickson of Cross River, N.Y., and a sisterin-law, Mrs. Melvin Lahr, of Sunbury.

    Born Nov. 11, 1909, in Selinsgrove, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Sarah Loy Phillips. She was married to Melvin Lahr, who died in 1966.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, by the Rev. Jonathan Albright. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Selinsgrove.

    Melvin Lahr
    In Sunbury Mr. Lahr had served as director of the chamber of commerce. He was past president of Kiwanis, the club having won first prize for community service among Pennsylvania clubs during his year in office, and he was identified with every major project for community advancement. He was also member of Sunbury Lodge 267, B.P.O. Elks.
    This spirit of dedication was also noted after he located in Lynn where he was a member of the board of directors of the Bay Shore Council, Boy Scouts of America, the Retail Trade Bureau of the Lynn Chamber of Commerce and director of the American Red Cross Chapter.
    Mr. Lahr was born at Dalmatia February 9, 1895, the son of Michael L. W. Lahr and Sevilla Dubendorf Lahr, both deceased. His father from 1917 to 1925 was the beloved principal of Sunbury High School.
    Mr. Lahr leaves his wife, the former Mary E. Phillips and sisters, Mrs. George Zimmerman of Moorestown, N.J. and Mrs. Eina Frederickson, Four Winds, N.Y., also several nephews and nieces.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Shipman mortuary, Sixth and Race Streets with the Rev. Charles B. Almond, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Union Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
    Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from a.m. until the time of the funeral service.

    Truman Lahr, of Sunbury. R. D. 2, and Tarpon Springs R. D. 1, Florida, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon at his home in Sunbury R. D. 2. His age was 65.
    Relatives and neighbors discovered Mr. Lahr's body Thursday afternoon when he failed to appear during the day and there was no answer to the telephone at the Lahr home. He had been dead for 24 hours.
    Mr. Lahr retired February, 1956, after working for 33 years with the Mack. Truck Company, Allentown. He had been employed as a salesman.
    Mr. Lahr was born in Dalmatia, December 27, 1896, a son of the late Michael L. W. and Sevilla Dubendorf Lahr, and lived in Allentown area the greater part of his life.
    He was married twice, the first time to the former Mildred A. Davies, who preceded him in death, August, 1954. He is survived by his second wife, Frances K. Jellison Lahr; a son, David T. Lahr, of Kempton R. D. 2, Pa; a daughter, Mrs. Mollie Hamill, of East Stroudsburg: a brother, Melvin Lahr, of Sunbury; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Zimmerman of Selinsgrove R. D. 2; Mrs. Helen Frederiksen, Cross River, N. Y.: and five grandchildren.
    He was a veteran of World War I, and was inducted into service December 10, 1917, at, Fort Slocum, N. Y. He served as a wagoner for Battery A, 58th Artillery, Coast Artillery Corps and saw overseas service from May 10; 1918, to April 27, 1919. He was discharged May 15, 1919 at Camp Dix, N. J.
    His affiliations included membership in American Legion Post 201, Sunbury Elks 267.
    Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a. m. from the Korten funeral home, Rev. Walter S. Smith, assistant pastor, Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Ziegler's Church Cemetery, Weisenberg Township, no visitation and it is no requested near Allentown. There be that friends omit flowers.

    George Henry Zimmerman, of Hummel's Wharf, died Saturday in the Community Hospital, in which institution he had been a patient for four days. He was aged 61 years and a veteran of World War I.
    Mr. Zimmerman was born near Sunbury, May 29, 1888, the son of Samuel and Anna Mensch Zimmerman. He was a member of Lafayette Lodge No. 194, Free and Accepted Masons, of Selinsgrove. He was employed as a carpenter at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Sunbury.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Lahr; a daughter, Mrs. John R. Boyer, of Collingswood, New Jersey; two brothers, Clarence and Ralph | Zimmerman, of R. R., Sunbury; and three sisters, Miss Mabel Zimmerman and Mrs. Frank Klase, of Sunbury; and Mrs. J. William Shultz, of Tremont.
    Private funeral services were held Tuesday from the Shipman Memorial Chapel, Sunbury, and interment was in West Side Cemetery, at Shamokin Dam. His pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Koons, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury, officiated.
