William Oscar Leitzel, 71, well known retired Klingerstown business man, died at his home at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from an acute heart ailment and complications after being in failing health for the past two years. He was born in Klingerstown, Nov. 19, 1866, the son of the late Benjamin B. and Eva Elizabeth Tobias Leitzel, and spent his entire lifetime in that community.

He was also engaged in the automobile business for a long and active member of the Lutheran church.
Richard A. Leitzel, a son of the deceased, has been conducting the Lewisburg community auction sale for some months past. His passing is being mourned by a wide circle of friends and relatives as Mr. Leitzel was always known as a fine, upright citizen and congenial man. Relatives wish to extend their thanks to the many friends who offered their sincere sympathy and aid.
Surviving are two brothers, Cyrus Leitzel, of Urban, and John Leitzel of Portland, Oregon; the following children: Richard, John, Paul and Mrs. Andrew Morgan, all of Klingerstown; Frank, of Payette, Idaho; Fred, of Bloomsburg, and twelve grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Harry Wise, died seven years ago.
Mr. Leitzel was married to Miss Emma Wiest September 2, 1886, who died 42 years, ago. On February 11, 1897 he remarried to Miss Cora Hollenbach, of Herndon, who was killed in the recent accident.
