    Fred Leitzel Sr.
    Fred Leitzel Sr., 81, of Klingerstown, died Wednesday evening in his home. He was in ill health the last month.
    Born in Klingerstown, Nov. 18, 1906, he was a son of the late William and Cora Hollenbach Leitzel. He attended Klingerstown schools.
    Mr. Leitzel was a miller and an officer in Empire Kosher Plant, Mifflintown, until retiring in 1978.
    He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
    Mr. Leitzel was a 50-year member of Herndon Lodge 702, F&AM, and a member of Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
    He was married to the former Hattie I. Bordner on Aug. 13, 1927 a at Klingerstown.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five sons, Dr. Robert, Jim and Lynn, all of Elizabethville, Fred Jr., Aaronsburg, and Bill, Herndon area; three daughters, Sue Lebo, Elizabethville, Romaine Bott, Millersburg area, and Jo Heffron, Minersville; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Michael's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Walter Hafer will officiate. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements.
