Howard E. "Heb" Heberling, Jr., 94, of Tower City, passed away Saturday at Linden Village, Lebanon.
Born in Reinerton, June 28, 1924, a son of the late Howard Sr., and Ellen Fetterhoff Heberling.
Heb worked as a coal miner the majority of his life, he worked at the former AMP, Inc., Tower City for ten years before retiring in 1986.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City. Heb was a life member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose #1603, Tower City where he was an active member of the pool team up until the age of 89.
Heb enjoyed traveling, playing pool, spending time at his cabin at the lake and being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edith "Dolly" Heberling, 2010; two brothers, Lamar and Harold Heberling.
Surviving are a son, James "Heb" Heberling and his wife Sherri, Williamstown; a daughter, Judy Bitterman and her husband Gary, Fredericksburg; six grandchildren, Scott Bitterman, Jamie More, Melissa Henry, Ian, Shane and Seth Heberling; three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. Born October 6, 1935, In Tower City, she was the daugher of the late John H. and Florence (Cooper) Fetterhoff. She was the wife of 56 years to the late Henry G. Douglass, of Middletown.
Dr. Douglass graduated from Lebanon High School, Lebanon, in the Class of 1953. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Sociology from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Shippensburg University, Shippensburg, and a Doctorate Degree in Adult Education from Temple University, Philadelphia.
Jacquie was a Professional School Counselor for the Lower Dauphin School District for 30 years and spent most of her career at Lower Dauphin High School. She truly loved her work and touched the lives of many young people.
Jacquie was also an ordained Reverend in the Order of Melchizedek, The Sanctuary of the Beloved.
Jacquie enjoyed life to its fullest and lived exactly the way she wanted to...traveling, which influenced her designs as reflected through her many home additions, shopping, gardening, drinking wine and gambling, particularly in Las Vegas. She loved being with friends and family at the beach, swimming, playing games and decorating. She deeply believed in form over function.
Jacquie is survived by two sons, John M. Douglass, formerly of Las Vegas, now of Harrisburg, and Kirk D. Douglass, Marysville; and one daughter, Dr. Marcy J. Douglass of Carlisle, and her husband, Philip McCarthy; two grandchildren, Ariel Douglass-Devine of Marysville and Hunter Douglass of Harrisburg. Jacquie has three grandchildren through marriage, Deena Quinn of Hayes, Va., Bobby McCarthy and Aaron McCarthy of Sarasota, Fla; as well as six great-grandchildren, Shelby, Alexis, Kayla, Cody, Sierra and Hannah.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Red Lion Hotel (formerly the Holiday Inn), 4751 Lindle Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.

Marvin W. Helt Jr. was born on 12 August 1932, Reinerton, Schuylkill County, PA.2,3 He was the son of Marvin W. Helt and Dorothy Emma Fetterhoff.1 Marvin W. Helt Jr. married Janet E. Seiders, daughter of Robert Seiders and Martha Bixler, circa 1960.3 Marvin W. Helt Jr. died on 19 December 2013, Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carroll County, MD, at age 81.3

He was born on August 12, 1932 in Reinerton, Schuylkill County, PA to the late Marvin W. Helt, Sr. and Dorothy (Bressler) Helt.
He was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
Marvin was retired from the United States Department of the Navy as an electronics technician.
He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Silver Spring, MD and the American Legion. He enjoyed working on old cars, cooking and spending time with his family.
He was the widow of Janet E. Helt to whom he was married for 57 years.
Surviving are two sons Mark T. Helt and his wife Darlene of Laurel, MD, Roy T. Helt and his wife Deborah of Elizabethtown, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Young Mother Dies at Philadelphia Hospital
Mrs. Anna Heim, wife of John Heim, of Orwin, died at the University Hospital, Philadelphia, on Sunday at 10:15 o'clock, after an illness of more than nine months. Her death was due to a tumor on the brain. She had previously been a patient at the Geisinger Hospital at Danville, but the best medical skill at both institutions was unable to bring her relief. She had been receiving treatment at the University Hospital for two weeks before her death.
Mrs. Heim was a daughter of Preston Paul, of Orwin, and was 24 years old. Besides her father she is survived by her husband, two daughters, Eva, 6 years, and Jean, 5 years; one brother, Earl Paul, of Clarks Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Leitzel, of Valley View; Mrs. Homer Weist, of Klingerstown, and Mrs. Edward O'Niel, of Pottstown; and one half-sister, Helen, of Orwin.
She was a confirmed member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Reinerton, and funeral services were conducted at her late home at Orwin by Rev. Ira F. Frankenfleld, the pastor, on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial was made in the Lutheran and Reformed cemetery. Funeral director Dean O. Snyder had charge.
