Delphin Homer Wiest was born on 21 November 1924, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He was the son of Homer Wiest and Vesta Rahama Idella Paul.1 Delphin Homer Wiest married Regina M. Schmick, daughter of Leo Andrew Schmick Sr. and Irene M. Reitenbach.3 Delphin Homer Wiest died on 31 October 2014, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA, at age 89.4

Delphin H. Wiest, 89, of Susquehanna Twp., Harrisburg, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
Del was born November 21, 1924 at Klingerstown, and was the eldest son of the late Homer and Vesta Paul Wiest.
He was retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1718 of Pennbrook, American Legion Post 124, Liberty Hose Co. No. 2, Ashlar Lodge No. 570 F&AM where he was Past Master all of Lykens, Harrisburg Consistory A.A.S.R., and Harrisburg Zembo Shrine.
Del is survived by one son, Ronald A. Wiest of Susquehanna Twp; two grandchildren, Jacob A. Wiest of Susquehanna Twp. and Jennifer L. Wiest of Williamsport; three brothers, Bernard P. Wiest and wife Dorothy (Bellis) of Halifax, Kenneth L. Wiest and wife Jean (Wolfe) of Mechanicsburg, Arlan G. Wiest and wife Shirley (Lebo) of Enola; one sister, Bettijane J. Wiest Pakyz of Harrisburg; sister-in-law, Joan (Clough) Wiest of New Kingstown.
In addition to his parents Del was preceded in death by his wife, Regina M. (Schmick) Wiest of Susquehanna Twp; his youngest son, Rodney P. Wiest of Jefferson Twp., Halifax; one brother, Lindy Wiest and a sister, Joyce Wiest.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 5, at noon with Pastor Carl E. Slough officiating from the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Lykens. A viewing was held from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at which time Masonic Services were held. Burial was in St. James Cemetery, Carsonville.
John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, was in charge of the arrangements.
