     Earl Stanford Klinger was born on 23 February 1916, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.2,1 He was the son of Frederick Monroe Klinger and Jennie Mae Paul.3 Earl Stanford Klinger married Margaret E. Hummel, daughter of William Hummel and Charity Roth, on 3 August 1940, St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont, Schuylkill County, PA.4,5 Earl Stanford Klinger died on 22 February 1998, Pottsville Hospital and Warner Clinic, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 81.1

Earl S. Klinger
Earl S. Klinger, 81, of 10 N. Crescent St., Tremont, died Sunday night at Pottsville Hospital.
Born in Gratz, Feb. 23, 1916, he was a son of the late Fred and Jennie Paul Klinger.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1972 as a corporal from the Pennsylvania State Police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont, and Fraternal Order of Police.
His wife, the former Margaret E. Hummel, died in 1982; a brother, Roy, died in 1989.
Surviving are a son, John, Tremont; a brother, Stanley, Tremont; two grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont. The Rev. Ann Paynter will officiate. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.

     Frederick Monroe Klinger also went by the name of Fred.2 He was born on 8 April 1895, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.3,4,5 He was the son of Emanuel Klinger and Christiana Schadel. Frederick Monroe Klinger was baptized on 16 June 1895, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.6 He married Jennie Mae Paul, daughter of Daniel S. Paul and Amelia Jane Schwalm, on 5 October 1912, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.7,8 In 1920, Fred and his wife Jennie, along with their 2 sons, were living with Fred's parents in Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where Fred was working at a coal mine.2 At the time of the 1930 Census, Fred and his family were living in Tremont, Schuylkill County, PA, where Fred was a coal miner.9 Frederick Monroe Klinger died on 8 June 1978, Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 83.10,5 He was buried on 10 June 1978, at Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.5

TREMONT - Fred M. Klinger, 83, of 210 N. Pine Street, died Thursday, June 8 [1978] at Pottsville Hospital where he was admitted May 28.
Mr. Klinger, bom in Klingerstown, was the son of the late Emanuel and Christian [sic] Klinger and had lived in Tremont 57 years. He was a retired miner and had last worked at Lytle Coal Co. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three sons, Roy, Delaware, Earl and Stanley, both of Tremont; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Alvin, Williamstown.
Services were held Saturday, June 10 from the W. E. Minnig Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Stauffer officiating. Burial was in Klinger's Church Cemetery, Erdman.5

     Roy Marlin Klinger was born on 26 March 1914, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.1,3 He was the son of Frederick Monroe Klinger and Jennie Mae Paul.2 Roy Marlin Klinger was baptized on 5 July 1914, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.4 He married Helen M. Straub.3 Roy Marlin Klinger married Alice E. Stanchick, daughter of Ralph Stanchick and Nellie Zenkusta.5 Roy Marlin Klinger died on 8 July 1989, at home, Millsboro, Sussex County, DE, at age 75.3,5

Roy M. Klinger, 75, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Tremont, died early Saturday morning, July 8, [1989,] at his residence.
Mr. Klinger was born in Gratz, a son of the late Fred and Jennie Paul Klinger.
Mr. Klinger was a World War II Army veteran. He served in the European Theater of Operations.
He was a retired miner and tavern owner. He owned and operated Klinger's Bar, Tremont, for 10 years, until retiring.
His first wife, the former Helen Straub, died in 1981.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Stanchick; two sons, Frederick, Tremont, and Dennis, Tower City; a daughter, Linda Amos, Lewisberry; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley and Earl, both of Tremont.
Services were held Tuesday from W.E. Minnig Funeral Home, Tremont. The Rev. Paul A. Schaediger, interim pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont, officiated. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.5,6 He was buried on 11 July 1989, at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont, Schuylkill County, PA.3,7,5

     Stanley Emanuel Klinger was born on 12 August 1922, Spring Glen, Schuylkill County, PA.3 He was the son of Frederick Monroe Klinger and Jennie Mae Paul.2 Stanley Emanuel Klinger married Camille Rose Hart.4 Stanley was a First Lieutenant in the US Army during World War II.5 Stanley Emanuel Klinger died on 21 April 2007, at home, 126 Vaux Ave., Tremont, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 84.3

Born in Spring Glen, Aug. 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Fred and Jennie Paul Klinger.
He was an Army veteran having served during World War II.
He was retired from Richmond Screw Co., Tremont, and had previously worked at Scranton Electric.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Camille Hart Klinger, in 1987; a daughter, Patricia Harner; two grandsons, John P. Motika and John Dagostino; two brothers, Earl and Roy Klinger.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Witmer, Pine Grove; two sons, Michael and Jeffrey Klinger, both of Tremont; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
