Emanuel Klinger is also referred to as Immanuel in some sources. He was born on 28 September 1856, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.1,2 Some sources record that Emanuel Klinger was born on 25 September 1856, Klingerstown, Schuylkill County, PA.2 He was baptized on 28 December 1856, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA; Name listed as "Immanuel."1 He married Christiana Schadel, daughter of George H. Schadel, on 17 May 1874, Hegins, Schuylkill County, PA. In 1880, Emanuel and his wife Cristiana were living in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA, where was a laborer. They had 3 children.3 Emanuel was the head carpenter for the building of the "new" Klinger's Church in 1894 and 1895.4,5 By the time of the 1900 Census, Emanuel was a farmer in Lykens Township. He and Christiana had been married 26 years and had given birth to 12 children, 11 of whom were then living. Their household included 8 of their youngest children.6 At the time of the 1920 Census, Emanuel was a farmer in Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, where his household included his youngest daughter Meda and his son Fred, Fred's wife Jennie and their 2 children, Roy and Earl.7 Emanuel Klinger died on 16 March 1928, Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 71.5,2 He was buried on 20 March 1928, at Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.8,2 In 1930, after Emanuel's death, his widow ""Christina" was living with her daughter Meda in Upper Mahantongo Township, Schuylkill County, PA.9,10

William Daniel Zimmerman was born on 29 April 1917, 1100 Block, West Walnut St., Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.1 He was the son of William Grant Zimmerman and Carrie Ellen Klinger. William Daniel Zimmerman married Lola Sarah Knorr, daughter of Clarence Allen Knorr and Jennie Kahler, on 19 September 1943, St. John's Reformed Church, Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.1 William was a bus driver and lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA. William Daniel Zimmerman died on 10 June 1989, Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, at age 72.2 He was buried on 14 June 1989, at IOOF Cemetery, Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.2

Robert Grant Zimmerman was born on 9 December 1919, 1100 Block, West Walnut St., Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.1 He was the son of William Grant Zimmerman and Carrie Ellen Klinger. Robert Grant Zimmerman was baptized circa 1920, Grace Lutheran Church, Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.2 Robert was a private in the 30th Infantry Division, 120th Regiment, Company D in World War II. As an MOS Heavy Machine Gunner, he served in France in World War II. His first encounter with the enemy was in July, 1944, in Normandy, near St. Lo. On August 11, 1944 he was taken prisoner at Montain, France, and was sent to Stalag 7A, Moosberg, Germany, August 30, 1944. A 1944 newspaper article listed Robert as "missing in action." He was released from prison camp on May 8, 1945. He was then sent to First Ordinance Training Regiment, Aberdeen, MD, in August 1945, and was discharged December 13, 1945. He re-enlisted in the Air Force, October 16, 1946 and was sent to 81st Fighter Group, 91st Fighter Squadron, Wheeler Field, Hawaii. In September, 1947, he was an MOS Propeller Specialist S/Sgt and was reassigned to Kirtland AFB, NM, July, 1949. He was discharged from Fitzsimmons General Army Hospital, September, 1950.2 He died on 23 February 1981, Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, PA, at age 61. He was buried at Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA. Some sources suggest that Robert was buried at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Shamokin, while others indicate that he was buried in the Shamokin Cemetery. Still other sources suggest that Robert was buried at Northumberland Memorial Park in Stonington, Northumberland County, PA.3,1

Sarah Sevilla Zimmerman was born on 16 December 1922, 1300 Block, Independence St., Shamokin, Northumberland County, PA.1 She was the daughter of William Grant Zimmerman and Carrie Ellen Klinger. Sarah Sevilla Zimmerman married Merle Edward Hoy, son of John Hoy and Vera Albright, on 22 November 1941, Elkton, MD.2 Sarah Sevilla Zimmerman died on 9 October 1972, Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, at age 49.2 She was buried on 11 October 1972, at Jacob's UCC Church Cemetery, Reed's Station, Ralpho Township, Northumberland County, PA.3,2
