    LYKENS- Carolyn Sue Fenstermacher, 53, of Smucker Hill Road, passed away Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at her residence.
    She was born January 30, 1962 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Mark "Sonny" Sims and Ruth Ann (Klinger) Sims who survives her in Lykens.
    She was a 1980 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School and a 2004 graduate of Susquehanna University receiving a Bachelor's degree.
    She was a member of St. Peter's Hoffmans UCC, in Lykens. She was an assistant church organist and choir member, and very active in her church. She also attended and played organ at St. Paul's UCC Church, Sacramento.
    She enjoyed spending time on vacations near the water. She loved to grow flowers and enjoyed her music and arts.
    Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Rodney C. Fenstermacher at home; 2 brothers, Alan, Pennfield and Brian (Dee), Klingerstown; Sister, Doreen Dockey, Harrisburg; She was the daughter-in- law of Gilbert and Cordelia "Dolly" Fenstermacher, Lykens. Brother-in-law, Robert Fenstermacher, NC; 1 Niece, 7 Nephews; 3 Great Nieces and 3 Great Nephews.
    There will be a visitation at her church on Saturday, Jan 2, 2016 from 9-11 AM. Memorial services starting at 11:00AM. Inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.

    ELIZABETHVILLE - Hilda M. Klinger of Elizabethville, PA passed away Friday August 9, 2024 at Heritage Mills, Tower City.
    Hilda was born September 29, 1933 at Loyalton (Washington Twp) to the late Clyde and Effie Klinger Miller.
    She was co-owner of the former R&K Diner in Elizabethville, and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Loyalton. She enjoyed going to casinos and listening to country music especially Elvis, Hank Williams Jr. and Johnny Cash.
    Hilda is survived by her sons Randy (Janet), and Roy (Rebecca) Klinger, grandchildren Mike, Kyle, Kory and Ann, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
    In addition to her parents Hilda was preceded in death by her husband John Klinger and a sister Betty.
    Funeral Services will be held Friday August 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Minnich Family Funeral Home, 1238 West Market St., Williamstown, Pa. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service, and burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

    — MILLERSBURG — Grace M. Shaffer, 90, of Millersburg, formerly of Hebe, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at the Hospice Residence, Harrisburg.
    She was born on July 2, 1922, in Jordan Township, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Blanche [Moyer] Troutman, of Hebe. She was married to John F. Shaffer Jr., who preceded her in death.
    Grace was a graduate of Dalmatia High School.
    She was employed by Muskin Shoe Co., Millersburg, and Mon-Mar, Gratz, from where she retired.
    Grace was a member of David’s United Church of Christ, Hebe.
    She is survived by four children, two sons, Gary Shaffer, of Halifax, and Rick Shaffer, of RR Sunbury, and two daughters, Wendy Clough, of Halifax, and Lisa Specht, of Millersburg; three sisters, Betty Bohner and Joan Peay, both of Hebe, and Gayle Lau, of Halifax; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Grace was proceeded in death by one sister, Eleanor Schaffner, and one brother, Roy Troutman.
    A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in David’s United Church of Christ, Hebe.
    A private burial will be held in the Hebe Church Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions in Grace’s memory may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

    Betty was born in April of 1927 in her family home (Hebe), daughter of the late Roscoe and Blanche (Boyer) Troutman, sister to predeceased Grace Shaffer, Roy Troutman, Eleanor Schaffner, Joan Peay, and Gayle Lau.
    She attended Lower Mahanoy Township High School in Dalmatia. She graduated as class valedictorian and star basketball player in 1944.
    Betty retired as a teller at the Upper Dauphin National Bank (Pillow). Previous employment included secretary for Ford Motor Company (Klingerstown) and “right hand girl” at Eva’s Specialty Shop (Millersburg).
    Betty was an active member of David’s UCC (Hebe), where she was a part of ‘David’s Women of the Church’ group.
    Betty is survived by her husband of 71 years, William L. Bohner; daughter, Beverly Spatzer (Robert); son, Brian Bohner (Lisa); grandchildren Jeffrey Spatzer (Missy), Jill Burrows, Lexi Patrick (Brody), Tyler Bohner; two great-grandsons, Tanner Spatzer and Gavin Burrows; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
    Betty’s immediate family will honor her with a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to David’s UCC (Hebe).2
