    Born in Klingerstown, Mr. Snyder was the son of the late Jordan and Mary Kempel Snyder. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion Post 575 of Valley View.
    Surviving in addition to his wife, the former Tamie Shade, are six sons: Clayton M., Pillow; Thomas, Lykens, RD; Truman and Lee, Elizabethville: Carl, of Wiconisco; Mark, in the U. S Air Force, Hanna City, Ill; one daughter, Mary, wife of Lee Straub, of Herndon, RD1; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Whalen, of Rantoul, Ill.: four sisters: Mrs. Marshall Fahringer, of Elysburg; Mrs. Cloyd Mattern, Sacramento; Mrs. Paul Mattern, of Herndon, RD. and Mrs. Russell Helt, of Halifax.

    Violet I. Snyder, 90, of Lykens Township, passed away on August 4, 2020, at the Tremont Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Lykens Twp on May 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Ada and Allen Wolfe.
    Violet was employed at many local factories and was an Aide at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg. She was a member of Zion Klinger's Lutheran Church, Erdman where she was involved in many activities and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.
    Violet is survived by two sons, Myles Snyder of Williamstown, Neil Snyder of Brodheadsville; daughter, Sharon Adams of Herndon; brother, Robert Wolfe of Gratz; three sisters, Twila Geistwite of Lykens Twp, Millie Leffler of Gratz, Carol Ney of Lykens Twp; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Snyder, son, Mike Snyder, brother, Bill Wolfe, and one great great-grandchild.
    A viewing will be held on August 8, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. A private funeral service for the family will follow. Interment will take place in the Zion Klinger's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.3

    Gary L. Scheib, 55, of 11 South Elmer Avenue, Halifax, died Friday, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Lebo) Scheib. He was born in Sunbury, PA, September 11, 1946, and was the son of Nevin and Myrtle (Bordner) Scheib of Millersburg.
    He worked as a Steel Fabricator at L.B. Smith, Inc., Camp Hill, PA.
    In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a step- daughter, Rachel A. Glosek, and step-granddaughter, Alexis Glosek, both of Herndon, PA.
    Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
