    Born in Harrisburg Poly-clinic Hospital, Nov. 8, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Klinger) Kissinger.
    She lived in Lancaster County the greatest part of her life and has resided in Mount Carmel for the past 15 years. She was employed as a production worker for Charles Chips prior to becoming a housewife.
    On Aug. 29, 1988, in Pastor Hoover's residence in Coatesville, she married Rodger Young, who survives.
    She was a 1971 graduate of Elizabethtown High School and was a member of the New Life Church of God on Second Street in Mount Carmel.
    Marilynn enjoyed assisting at church with the services and making crafts with the children.
    She loved crocheting and making afghans for family members.
    In addition to her husband, Rodger, she is survived by three children, Donnie Ney and his wife, Tracy, of Huntington, W.Va., Jeremiah J. Ney and his wife, Angela, of Mount Carmel, and Ashley Ney, at home; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Kissinger and his wife, Susan, of Maytown, and Ronald Kissinger and his wife, Tina, of Marietta, and nieces and nephews.

    He was born on August 7, 1947 in Berrysburg, PA the son of the late Albert and Sula (Johns) Shade.
    Leroy was married to Mae (Klinger) Shade for 52 years.
    He retired as an Equipment Operator from PP&L with over 40 years of service.
    Leroy served his country in the US Air Force.
    Leroy attended Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz. He was a member of several local car clubs.
    He enjoyed cars, tractors, mowers, and anything with a motor. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
    In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Jeffrey Shade and his wife Shelby of Elizabethville, daughter Julie and her husband John Stroup of Halifax, and grandchildren Courtney, Seth, and Connor.
    He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis.
    A graveside service will be held at Riverview Memorial Gardens on August 9, 2022 at 10:30AM, with Pastor Steve Blayer officiating.

    Services for Helen A. Klinger, 79, of Erdman, who died Tuesday in Harrisburg Hospital, will be held at U aim. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church, Lykens area. The Rev. Walter Hafer Jr. Klingerstown, will officiate. Interment will be in Zion Church Cemetery. There will be no calling hours this evening.
    She and her husband, Luther, operated a plumbing and electrical appliance business in Erdman for more than 40 years.
    Mrs. Klinger was born in Sacramento, May 4, 1908, a daughter of the late Edward and Sadie Schreffler Engle.
    She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
    A daughter, Pauline Herb, died in 1964.

    Ernest Luther Klinger, 86, of Lykens Township passed away peacefully in the company of family members Sunday, October 30, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Alma (Rothermel) Klinger.
    Born July 26, 1925 in Klingerstown he was a son of the late Luther and Helen (Engle) Klinger. He attended Kessler's School and Hubley Township School. Ernie was self-employed working as a plumber, electrician, farmer and also ran a barber shop with his father. He was always self-employed and either worked alone or with his father his entire life.
    He was a member of Zion Lutheran (Klinger's) Church and served on the church council. He was proud to have been responsible for placing the Archangel Gabriel on the church steeple. Ernie was a 50 year member of the Herndon F&AM Lodge 702, where he served as a Past Master, a member of the Harrisburg Valley Consistory, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodge 551 of Dornsife, where he had served as a Past Noble Grand. He was a life member of the NRA, a long time member of the Erdman Sportsman Association, and was the last Charter member of the Spruce Spring Camp in Mifflin County. He served on the Lykens Township Planning Committee and served on the Gratz Fair Board for close to 60 years.
    Ernie was proud to be the leader of Boy Scout Troop 152 of Erdman for many years and also the Gratz Boy Scout Troop for a number of years.
    When he wasn't working he enjoyed hunting and playing euchre.
    In December of 1989 he lived out his dream by completing and moving into his log home and was proud to have taken care of the grass mowing and upkeep until 3 years ago.
    Surviving are his daughter Mary C. Leitzel of Mechanicsburg; a son Stephen E. Klinger of Lykens; and a nephew that Ernest and Alma raised, Edwin L. Herb of Halifax; a grandson Michael E. Leitzel; and three great-grandchildren Seth M., John P., and Sarah A. Leitzel; a sister Shirley Kahler of Dornsife; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Herb and a brother Robert Klinger.
    A closed casket viewing will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jan Mills officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
