    Mrs. Carrie Smith, 30 years, died at the home of her father Harry Oxenrider at Rough and Ready this morning from tuberculosis. She had been ill for some time.
    She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her father, a brother, Earl Oxenrider and two daughters, Jean Smith and Dorothy Smith.
    Funeral services will be held from the Oxenrider home Monday morning. Rev. Beam of the Reformed church will officiate.

    Jean E. Romberger, 88 of, Klingerstown passed away peacefully Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman. She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin Romberger who passed away in 1991.
    Born Friday, October 31, 1924 in Klingerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Oxenrider) Smith. Jean was employed as a factory worker first for Western Electric in Baltimore and retired in 1985 from the Pillow Shirt Factory where she had worked for many years.
    She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Klingerstown. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, sewing and planting flowers in her younger years.
    Surviving are two daughters Diane Gallagher of Bloomsburg, and Donna Romberger of Klingerstown; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Klinger
    Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 10-11 AM at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, PA where the funeral will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery

    Quentin S. Romberger, 71, R.D. 1 Klingerstown, died Monday June 24, at his home.
    Born at Klingerstown, on March 22, 1920, he was a son of the late Stanley and Verna Mae (Klinger) Romberger.
    Mr. Romberger was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel, a farmer, and later marketed produce for area farmers until his retirement in 1982.
    He was educated in the Jordan Township schools and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church at Klingerstown and also a member of the Gratz VFW.
    He was united in marriage to Jean Elizabeth Smith on May 18, 1946, at Leck Kill.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Diane) Gallagher of Berwick, and Miss Donna Romberger of R.D. 1, Klingerstown, four brothers, Roland Romberger of R.D. 1 Herndon, Lee Romberger of Star Route, Dalmatia, Roy Romberger of Valatia, N.Y. and Mark Romberger of Hegins, two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Marion) Troutman R.D. 1, Herndon, and Mrs. Larry (Barbara) Koppenhaver of R.D. Halifax; and four
    grandchildren.
    Services were held Thursday, June 27, from St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, with the Rev. Walter L. Hafer, Jr. of Klingerstown, officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
    The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home of R.D. 1 Klingerstown had charge of funeral arrangements.6
