    David E. Schreffler, 62, of Lykens Twp, PA, passed away Monday, November 14th, while in the company of family members, at his residence. David was born in Elizabethville RD, Pa. on February 4, 1949, a son of Esther M. (Bastian) Schreffler, of Murrells Inlet, SC and the late Boyd E. Schreffler. He was the husband of Aleta A (Radel) Schreffler. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church Berrysburg, PA . He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1971. He was retired from the Dept of Public Welfare, Harrisburg, PA.
    David is survived by two sons Aaron, husband of Amber Schreffler, of Lykens, Twp; Nathan, husband of Karen Schreffler, of Harrisburg, PA and by 4 grandchildren. David is also survived by a sister, Marie, wife of Lon Schaffner, of North Myrtle Beach, SC.
    Services are private at the convenience of family with Rev. Thomas Bruner, Jr officiating.

    SUNBURY -- Cleo A. Leitzel, 83, of 130 S. Front formerly of the Dalma- tia area, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    She was born March 19, 1932, a daughter of the late David W. and Mary (Treon) Kieffer. She was married to Stewart R. Leitzel who pre- ceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2012. They celebrated 62 years as husband and wife.
    During her 83 years, she worked in several sewing factories and also enjoyed sewing for her family. She was known for her skill in making curtains and draperies and she and Stewart did lots of upholstery work for many people in their younger years.
    Cleo and her husband enjoyed many years of camping after retirement where they met and made many good friends. Among her great- est joys was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by three sons and two daughters- in-law, Jeffery and Debra Leitzel, of Herndon, Kevin Leitzel, of Camp Hill, and Rahn and Kelly Leitzel, of GreenCastle; four grandchildren, Erika Koperna and husband, Chris, Ryan Leitzel and wife Kira, Whitney Monn and husband Jason, and Benjamin Leitzel; several great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Tom Richards.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre- ceded in death by two brothers, Irvin Kahler and Merle Kieffer.
    A private graveside service will be conducted in Himmel's Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in memory may be made to Himmels Church, 1941 Schwaben Creek Road, Rebuck, PA 17867.

    DALMATIA -- Whalen Richard Witmer, 76, of RD1 Dalmatia died of natural causes on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
    He was born Nov. 27, 1927, in rural Dalmatia, a son of the late Nevin and Anna (Bordner) Witmer.
    Mr. Witmer was a 1945 graduate of Lykens Valley Vocational School.
    He retired as an administration officer for the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission in Harrisburg.
    Mr. Witmer was a member of the Gratz Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mandata American Legion and Lower Mahanoy Area Fire Company.
    Surviving, in addition to his companion, Percita Wertz of RD Dalmatia, are, two sons, Terry L. and Reynold E. Witmer, both of Halifax; two daughters, Susan and Linda; and four grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Ernest Witmer, and one sister, Leah Brosius.
    Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Chestnut and Market streets, Pillow, where a religious service will follow at 11 with the Rev. Kristine Lentz officiating.
    Burial will be in Stone Valley Cemetery, Dalmatia.
    Contributions in Mr. Witmer's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 123 Cancer Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

    In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, LuAnn and Jeffry Wetzel, of Herndon, Jim and Tammy Leitzel, of Lewisburg, and Cheryl and Jeffrey Bordner, of Herndon; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Angela and Tyler Barninger, Bradley Wetzel, Jennifer Novinger, Shane and Jennifer Leitzel, Nicholas Leitzel, Brandy and Shawn Chassion, Brianna Winters, Kimberly Bohner, Jeffrey Jr. and Deanna Bordner, Mark Leitzel and Adrienne Leitzel; and 11 great-grandchildren, Alexa, Ashlynn, Madeline, Victoria, Blayne, Andrew, Austin, Sebastian, Storm, Kaitlyn and Trent.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Craig E. Leitzel.
    Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

    Toni and Kevin Sponsler of Millersburg, Linda and Gary Mitzel of Reading, and Billie Leitzel of Selinsgrove; five grandchildren, Braxton, Adderly, Dillan, Lexi and Owen; one great-grandchild, Grayson; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Ruby Kissinger of Elizabethville; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Miller and LaRae Shade.
    Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
    Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
