    HALIFAX Terry L. Witmer-60- of 149 Highland Lane passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in Triumph Hospital in Harrisburg. He was born Saturday, April 5, 1947 in Herndon RD Son of the late Whalen & Ruby Leitzel Witmer Rutter. He worked as a computer analyst for 34 years at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot. He was a member of St. Peter's "Fetterhoff's" Lutheran Church; Halifax American Legion and Halifax VFW; he was and Army veteran of Vietnam Era. Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Sweigard Witmer; two Daughters, Erin L. Witmer of Lancaster and Rachel R. Witmer of Halifax; a Brother, Reynold Witmer of Halifax;a Step-father, Robert Rutter of Millersburg. Services will be held at St. Peter's, "Fetterhoff's" Lutheran Church 1491 Armstrong Valley Road in Halifax on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Viewing will be 1-2 PM Monday, November 26 at the church. Inurnment will be at the concenience of the family. Arrangements by Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., in Millersburg.     SUNBURY — Clyde C. Adams, 87, formerly of RR1 Dornsife, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at ManorCare Health Services, Sunbury, where he had been a patient since February.
    He was born Sept. 25, 1918, in RR1 Dornsife, a son of the late Charles F. and Clara Minerva (Bordner) Adams. His wife, Arabel E. Adams, preceded him in death Sept. 26, 2003.
    After graduating from Trevorton High School in 1937, Clyde worked at a coal hole and gas station in the Trevorton area until 1941, when he moved to Baltimore, Md., and worked as a machinist for the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Co. until 1950. From 1950 through 1953, he attended and graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College with a bachelor's degree in education, after which he was employed as a grade school teacher at Leck Kill for four years. In 1956, Mr. Adams graduated from Bucknell University with a master of science degree in education administration. In 1957, he became the elementary principal for the former Mahanoy Joint School District, serving in that capacity until retiring in 1980 from the current Line Mountain School District.
    He was an Army veteran of World War II.
    Mr. Adams was a member of Himmel's United Church of Christ Church, Rebuck, where he held several offices on the church board.
    He was also a member of Mahanoy Lodge 551, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Dornsife, where he was a past Nobel Grand and served as recording secretary for many years; the Idella Rebekah Lodge 58, Dornsife; Herndon Lodge 702, Free & Accepted Masons; Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg; American Legion Post 92, Trevorton; the former Greenbriar Grange No. 1148, where he served as treasurer for many years; and a life member of the Upper Dauphin Shrine Club.
    Mr. Adams was also a member of the local retired teachers association and the National Education Association and a life member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
    In 1957, he was one of the founders of Rebuck Boy Scout Troop 311 and was a registered member until his passing. He served as an assistant scoutmaster for many years and later served on the troop committee and was recently awarded the District Order of Merit Award.
    Clyde enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping, reading, collecting, photography and hunting.
    Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Jeanne Adams of Dornsife and Don and Brenda Adams of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Jordan Adams and wife Carrie, and Tarryn and Loren Adams; two great-grandsons, Logan and Wyatt Adams; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Adams of Baltimore.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Deloe on Nov. 21, 2003, and two brothers, Elwood and Marlin Adams.
    A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Himmel's Church, Rebuck, where the funeral will follow at 10 Saturday with the Rev. Frederick Faust officiating. The Mahanoy Lodge 551, IOOF, of Dornsife, will conduct a service at 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
    Burial will be in Himmel's Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Contributions in Clyde's memory may be made to the Himmel's Church Memorial Fund, Rebuck, PA 17867, or to Rebuck Boy Scout Troop 331, c/o Steve Kieffer, RR1, Dornsife, PA 17823.
