    James Richard Williamson, 83, of 929 W. Main St., Valley View, died Sunday evening in the Pottsville Hospital where he had been a patient since June 21.
    He was born in Hegins, Feb. 7, 1887, a son of the late Nathaniel and Catherine (Whiskevman) William son.
    He was employed for a number of years as a colliery breaker engineer I for the P&R Iron Co. plant in Good Springs. He was last employed by the Kocher Coal Co., Valley View. He was a member of St. Andrew's UM Church, Valley View.
    Mr. Williamson's first wife, the former Minnie Schoffstall, died in 1950. He is survived by his widow, the former Emma Snyder Messersmith; three sons, Elvin, Ephrata; Alfred and Leonard, Valley View; a stepdaughter, Jean Shuttlesworth, of New Cumberland; three grandchildren & four great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step- greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral Thursday morning from St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Gordon Oplinger officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

    Born in Hegens Township, he was a son of the late James R. and Minnie Edna Schoffspan Williamson.
    He was the husband of Mabel M. Dietrich Williamson, also a resident of Maple Farms.
    Williamson was a 46-year resident of Ephrata and Akron, and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Lincoln.
    He was employed as a barber in Lincoln from 1946 to 1984. He began working as a barber at age 15 in Valley View, Schuylkill County.

    Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. The Rev. Claude Schach will officiate. There will be no viewing. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.3

    Joseph Fetterolf
    Joseph Irvin Fetterolf, 69, of-725 E. Main St., Hegins, died in Good Samaritan Hospital Tuesday afternoon. He wa admitted Aug. 21.
    Mr. Fetterolf was the owner and operator of Fetterolf's Meat Market for many years at Hegins and he also operated a market at Tower City.
    He was born in Eldred Township, July 31, 1905, a son of Charles Fetterolf and the late Minnie Underkoffler Fetterolf.
    He was a member of the Hegins and Valley View Fire Companies and was of the Protestant faith.
    His wife, the former Bessie Bensinger of Valley View, died in 1965.
    Surviving are sons, Richard, of Pottsville; Jack, of Valley View; William of Hegins, associated in . the meat market business; a daughter Ann, wife of Fred Peifer, of RD Millersburg; his father Charles, of Hegins, 97 years old; 10 grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren; a brother Charles Jr., of RD Pottsville.
    Services will be held Friday morning from the Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, with Rev. Herbert DeWees of Friedens United Church of Christ of Hegins officiating. Interment will be in the Fearnot United Methodist Cemetery.
