SUNBURY — William E. “Buckets” Martz, 77, of Sunbury, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008, at Nottingham Village Nursing Home.
He was born in Philadelphia on May 26, 1931, the son of Harry P. and Mary C. (Trout) Martz.
Buckets was a graduate of Lykens Valley High School in 1949.
He worked for the Central Pennsylvania Teamsters H&W Union as a truck driver for 25 years until his retirement. He was a union steward for the union and was a member of the Local Teamsters Union 764 in Milton.
He was a life member of the Rescue Hose Company, Sunbury, and Northumberland Fire Company No. 1, Northumberland.
Buckets enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his friend and caregiver, Judith M. Bird of Northumberland, and her daughter; his children, Richard, Sue and Betsy; grandchildren; cousins, Beverly, Ellen and Samuel; and stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, where the funeral will be celebrated at 7.
Cremation will follow the funeral, and an interment/memorial service will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, at a later date.

Bush, Tower City; a stepdaughter, Ann McAllister, Elizabethville; a stepson, Skip Neiman, Orwin; two sisters, Betsy Wacker, Tower City, and Irene Warrenfletz, Dover; a brother, Edward McCue, Mechanicsburg; her father, William Martz, Sunbury; two grandsons; three stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Jennifer Joyce Ewart, age 34, died at her home on Monday, May 30, 2016. Born in Havelock, NC, She was the daughter of James Ewart of Berlin and Betsy McCue Wacker of Tower City, PA. She is survived by her husband Billie Eisert of Gulfport, and children Pandora Eisert and Lilura “Lilly” Eisert. Also surviving are her sisters, Marie Neitro, Michelle George and her fiancée Dennis Bordor, and Jamie Ewart and her fiancée Tony Nelson, two aunts, Margaret Simpson and Anna Purnell, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Jennifer had been a homemaker.

Mrs. Minnie M. Paul, wife of Preston Paul, died at her home at Orwin on Wednesday as the result of complications. She was 55 years old, and was born at Orwin on November 30, 1886, being a daughter of Jacob Gangloff and wife, nee Mary Neidlinger. She was a lifelong resident of Orwin.
Mrs. Paul was married twice, her first husband having been Henry W. Weaver, a native of Elizabethville, who died in 1918 during the influenza epidemic. Of this marriage there survive one daughter, Grace, wife of Roy Etzweiler, of Halifax, R. F. D., and three sons, Earl Weaver, of Halifax; Clyde Weaver, of Orwin, and John Weaver, of Philadelphia.
She was later married to Preston Paul, of Orwin, who survives, together with one daughter of this marriage, Mrs. Helen Paul Shutt, of Orwin.
The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from her late residence in the west end of Orwin. The remains will be taken into the Union Church, opposite her home, where services will be con ducted by Rev. Ira F. Frankenfield, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the United Brethren cemetery, Orwin, and is in charge of Funeral Director Dreisigacker.
