    ELIZABETHVILLE - Gurney R. Maurer, 81, of Elizabethville RD 1 died yesterday in Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
    He was a retired farmer, and was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz.
    He was the widower of Ruth F. Maurer. Surviving are a son, Ray W. of Elizabethville RD 1; a daughter, Mary Wingert of Elizabethville RD 1; a brother, Roy C. of Campbelltown; two grandsons; two stepgrandsons; five step-great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in his church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Viewing will be after 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Hoover Funeral Home.

    Surviving are her husband, Gurney R. Maurer; a son, Ray W. of Elizabethville RD; a daughter, Mary M. Wengert of Lykens RD; two stepsons, Ben E. Crabb of Elizabethville RD, and Dan H. Crabb of Lykens RD 1; two grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

    MILLERSBURG - Margie M. Bellis, 97, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Premier at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg. She was born in Broadway, VA, November 13, 1921, daughter of the late Ward and Mary Roadcap.
    Surviving are her husband, Mark Bellis, daughter, Winifred (Michael) Daniel, granddaughter, Lori (David) Myrick, great-grandchildren, Katie and Douglas; brother Less Roadcap. She was preceded in death by a grandson Douglas Daniel, sisters, Eunice Lower and Rita Weaver and brothers, Ward Roadcap Jr., and Stanley Roadcap.

    ELMER E. MILLER, GUNSMITH, DIED MONDAY
    Elmer E. Miller, age 70 years, well known gunsmith, died at his home in 1 Upper Paxton Township, near Millersburg, Monday.
    Mr. Miller was the inventor of the Miller single trigger for double barrel shotguns and the Miller Set Trigger, which he manufactured in a gunsmith shop at his home.
    Mr. Miller was a well-known sportsman, and was the winner of a number of shooting match trophies including the International White Flyer event at Chambers Hill and the American White Flyer Handicap at Reading in 1939.
    He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Miller and was a former resident of Sacramento.
    He is survived by four sons, Reuben T. Miller, of Middletown; Delbert W., Howard L., and Ervin K. Miller, all of Millersburg R. D., and seven daughters, Mrs. Norwood Scheidler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bruce Ney and Mrs. John Brosius, both of Millersburg R. D; Mrs. Wayne Smith, Flint, Michigan; Mrs. Mark Novinger, Mechanicsburg; Mrs Alvin Murdock of Shanksville, and Mrs. Donald Barry of Elizabethville.
    Other survivors are nine grandchildren; three half -brothers, Raymond Stutzman, Allan Stutzman, Sacramento; Walter Stutzman, Valley View; five half-sisters, Mabel Stutzman, Sacramento; Maude Stutzman, Mrs. Harry Deibert, Mrs. Elmer Schwalm, Valler View and Mrs. George Allsbach, Tremont. Services will be held from the Riegle Funeral Home, Millersburg, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Earl R. Marks, of Elizabethville, pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge, will officiate and interment will be in the Sacramento Cemetery.

    Mrs. Frances Ellie Stutzman, wife Albert M. Stutzman, of Hubley Township, passed away suddenly her home. She has been in ill health for the past two years, but her death was not expected.
    She was born March 29, 1865, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Artz.
    Her marriage to Albert StutzInan was blessed with 12 children, three of whom have preceded her death.
    She leaves to survive, her husband, and the following children, Maude, Walter and Allen, at home; Raymond, of Sacramento; Mrs. Gertrude Schwalm and Mrs. Harry Deibert, of Valley View; Mabel Stutzman, of Hegins, Mrs. George Tremont, Elmer Miller, of Millersburg. Twenty-five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Stutzman, of Hegins, also survive.
    She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sacramento, and her pastor, Dr. J. Sulzbach, assisted by Rev. H. J. Naftzinger, Deep Creek Reformed Church, will officiate at the funeral service; on Friday morning.
