    MILLERSBURG- Blair E. Brosius, age 86, of Rife Road passed away on Sunday, December 25th, 2016 at his residence.
    He was born May 23, 1930 in Berrysburg the son of the late Carlos and Maude Maurer Brosius.
    Blair graduated from Millersburg High School class of 1949 and then served in the Marines during the Korean War. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed collecting old tools. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rife and served on many committees at the church also a member of Millersburg VFW #5507 and Millersburg American Legion #326.
    Surviving are his wife of 61 years June M. Boyer Brosius, two sons David (Dee) and Kirby (Jan); grandchildren Adam, Tyler, Amber, Alyssa and Logan; a great granddaughter Avery. He was preceded in death by brothers Melvin and John and sisters Mary, Eleanor and Fern.
    The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 am on Friday, December 30th at Zion Lutheran Church in Rife. Services will begin at 11 am with burial and military honors in the church cemetery.

    June was married to Blair E. Brosius for 61 years. He passed away on December 25, 2016.
    June was a member and played the organ for many years at Zion Lutheran Church, Rife.
    She had retired from Alvord Polk, Millersburg. She also had worked over the years for the Millersburg School System. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, playing cards, listening to music and time in the kitchen baking and canning.
    She is survived by two sons, David (Dee) Brosius of Elizabethville, and Kirby (Jan) Brosius of Millersburg; Grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Amber, Alyssa and Logan; Great grandchildren, Avery, Parker, Laken and Miles; Sister, Linda, Scholl, and sister-in-law, Mary Boyer.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Boyer.
    There will be a visitation held at Zion Lutheran Church, 143 Rife Road, Millersburg, PA 17061 on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10-11 AM. A graveside funeral will follow the visitation starting at 11 AM with Rev. Linda Hostetter officiating.

    A son of Carl and Maude (Maurer) Brosius, he was born in Mifflin Township April 1, 1920.
    He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Killinger, the Berrysburg School Board; Upper Dauphin Joint School District Board, and the Berrysburg Fire Company.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margie Roadcap Brosius, one daughter, Winifred, at home; his parents, of Elizabethville; two brothers and three sisters, John and Blair Brosius, Mrs. Leroy Deibler, Mrs. Harry Beaver and Mrs. Fred McCormick, all of Millersburg R. D.

    He was born in Mifflin Twp. and was the son of the late Carlos and Maude Maurer Brosius.
    He was a retired supervisor from the General Services of the State of PA. He helped build the gazebo at the Governor's man sion. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local Union #287; Susquehanna Lodge #364 F&AM; Salem Lutheran Church in Killinger, where he served on the church council and as a deacon. His hobbies included square dancing, CB radios; woodworking and crossword puzzles.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin and two sisters, Fern McCormick and Frances Beaver.
    Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Betty L. Miller Brosius; a daughter, Donna M. Conz of Hummelstown; a brother, Blair and a sister, Mary Deibler both of Millersburg; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
    Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 11 a.m., at Hoover Funeral Home in Millersburg. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Killinger. No viewing or visitation.
