    Mrs. Hoffner was born June 9, 1908 in Klingerstown, a daughter of the late Harvey and Minnie (Rothermel) Smith. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
    Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Lester of Sacramento and Ivan of Valley View; two brothers, Howard and Holven Smith, both of Dornsife; five sisters, Mrs. Marlin Huntzinger of Spring Glen, Mrs. Norman Kemble of Hegins, Mrs. Harlen Boyer, of Halifax, Mrs. Charles Rebuck of Treverton and Mrs. Lester Erdman of Hillsgrove; and three grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon in Trinity Lutheran Church with her pastor, Rev. William W. Wightman, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
