    William L. "Bill" Straub 79, of Harrisburg, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Pinnacle Health - Harrisburg Campus.
    Mr. Straub was born in Lykens and was the son of the late Ralph and Hilda (Boyer) Straub. He was a retired foreman with D.D. Jones, Inc., formerly of Harrisburg. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin in Harrisonburg, Va. and spending time with his grandchildren.
    Mr. Straub was the widower of Miriam B. Straub, who died on June 4, 2010.
    Mr. Straub is survived by two Daughters, Debra (Craig) Newton of Dauphin and Denise (Steven) Johnson of Newport; two Grandchildren, William Newton and Morgan Johnson; two Sisters, Jean Henninger of Elizabethville and Barbara West of Alexandria, Va; two Brothers, Clair Straub of Springfield, Va. and Glenn Straub of Winter Haven, Fla.
    Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11 A.M., at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. The Rev. Dr. Donald C. Wetzel, will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Lykens, at the convenience of the family.
    A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10-11 A.M., at the funeral home, prior to the service.

    SPRINGFIELD, VA,June Elaine Straub, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, the day fittingly celebrated as grandparents' day this year, as she loved being a grandmother.
    She was born on June 11, 1933 in Berrysburg, Pennsylvania to the late Damon and Grace Shoop. She is preceded in death by her husband Clair, and her siblings, Ethel, Marlin, Hilda, Ruth and Jean.
    June married Clair on June 20, 1953, and relocated to Springfield, Virginia. She worked for the FBI and the Defense Logistics Agency until her retirement. June was outgoing, very charitable and always had the ability to make anyone smile with her wittiness and sense of humor. Family and travel were her two greatest passions.
    June is survived by her two children, Cynthia (Leonard) Napper and Michael (Angela) Straub, grandchildren, Kayla, Ryan, Kelsey and Kevin, her sister, Sandy Kratzer and a loving number of nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
    The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at Heritage Village Assisted Living for the exemplary care June received until her passing.
    May we, her loved ones, be comforted in knowing that June is now at eternal rest and glory with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
