JOSEPH H. LAUDENSLAGER Joseph Henry Laudenslager, age 89 years, died at his home in Gratz on Monday.
Mr. Laudenslager was a son of the late Nathan and Hannah (Bowman) Landenslager and was a native of Lykens Township. He was a member of Simeon's Reformed Church, Gratz.
Survivors are one son, Joseph D. Laudenslager, Lykens Township; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Hann and Mrs. Laura Phillips, Dalmatia; and Mrs. Jennie Fay of Schoharie, New York R. D. 1.
Services were held from the Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. A. L. Zechman, pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge officiated, and interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.

- Newspaper obituary:
Mrs. Alice Laudenslager of Gratz died very suddenly at Harrisburg on Tuesday evening, Dec. 28th. She was seized with a coughing spell while out shopping in company with her husband and son's wife and died in a nearby store in twenty minutes. Death was due to a hemorrhage of the heart. Her age was 54 yrs.,1 mo. and 17 das. The remains were brought here on Wednesday evening and taken to her home at Gratz.
Besides the husband the following children survive: John H. of Harrisburg; Dorothy S., Mrs. Chas. Wise of Gratz; Joseph, Jr. of Mahantongo Valley; Chas. I., George N., and Harry at home; also 3 brothers and 5 sisters: Sevilla, John, James and George Minnich, Mrs. Malinda Stutzman and Mrs. James Sugar of Hegins; Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffman of Springville and Mrs. Charles Darby of Sunbury.
Deceased was a daughter of Geo. and Catharine Mannich, born at Hegins, Nov. 11, 1855. Was baptized by Rev. Duenger, confirmed Nov. 19. 1870 in Frieden's Reformed Church, Hegins by Rev. J. Fritzinger; married Oct. 8, 1876 by Rev W. G. Engle.
The funeral services were held at Gratz last Saturday and were attended by possibly 800 people. Rev C. P. Wehr officiated.
