He was born at OnSlow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, North Carolina. Brandon was the son of Rodney A. Messner and Sherri L. (Klinger, Messner) Hebda and stepson of Claudia S. Messner and John F. Hebda.
He graduated from Hempfield High School (Lancaster County) and Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology. Brandon worked at Erie Insurance in Camp Hill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Brent A. Messner and nephew Cameron A. Messner.
Brandon leaves his maternal grandparents, James and Penny Klinger, great grandmother, Elva (Harner) Klinger and paternal step-grandmother, Harriet Messner. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents Haven and Ruth (Yoder) Laudensalger and Leon Klinger, as well as paternal grandparents, Robert A. Messner and Sandra (Willow) Messner and step-grandparents John J. and Betty A Hebda.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg, PA on Saturday Oct. 18 at 11 am.

HARRISBURG - Brent Allen Messner, age 35, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 due to an overdose of fentanyl-laced heroine. He was born at the General Hospital of Virginia Beach, Virginia on July 19, 1982. Brent was the son of Rodney A. Messner and Sherri L. (Klinger, Messner) Hebda and stepson of John F. Hebda and Claudia S. Messner.
Brent graduated from Bellwood Antis High School, earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, and a certificate in outstanding achievement from the Academy of Medical Arts and Business. He was a website owner and developer, previously worked for the US Army Medical Command in Carlisle, PA and the US Army Corps of Engineers in Pittsburgh, PA.
Brent leaves behind his son, Cameron A. Messner (6 years of age); maternal grandparents, James and Penny Klinger; great grandmother, Elva (Harner) Klinger and paternal step-grandmother, Harriet Messner.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon J. Messner; maternal great grandparents Haven & Ruth (Yoder) Laudenslager and Leon Klinger; and paternal grandparents, Robert A. & Sandra (Willow) Messner and step-grandparents John J. & Betty A. (Sierer) Hebda.
The family will receive family and friends, Saturday, May 12, 2018, 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, 118 South Market Street, Millersburg, PA 17061. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am with lunch following at "The Wooden Nickel" banquet room.

He worked as a Painter for the Local #411 Painters Union, Harrisburg. He was a member of the Masonic Susquehanna Lodge #364, Millersburg; also enjoyed hunting and traveling with his family; and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was the husband of Harriet L. ( March) Messner; and is also survived by 3 sons, Rodney A. Messner of Harrisburg, Robert A. Messner, Jr., and Jason A. Messner, both of Millersburg; 2 daughters, Tammie E. Hardy of Gettysburg, and Jill M. Klinger of Paxton; 3 sisters, Patty Lahr of Harrisburg, Linda Carr of TN, and Vickie Chronister of Enola; 1 brother, Paul A. Messner of Lakeland, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Hawkins and a
great-grandson, Trenton Marsh.

Mr. Haven Nathan Laudenslager, age 80 years, of Millersburg, Pa. formerly of Gratz, died in The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, Pa.
Mr. Laudenslager was born in Lykens, the son of the late Joseph Daniel and Laura (Weist) Laudenslager. He was of the Protestant faith; worked asa a coal miner in earlier years, and most of his life was a self-employed truck driver.
He was the widower of Ruth Eleanor (Yoder) Laudenslager, who preceded him in death on January 6, 2007.
Surviving are 3 sons, Joseph of Gratz, Steve of York and Tony of Etters; 3 daughters, Penny Klinger of Harrisburg, Sally Morgan of Millersburg and Robin Laudenslager of Steelton. Haven came from a family of 15, but only 2 survive; his brother, Charles Laudenslager, of Elizabethville, and his sister, Mary Starr of Gratz. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was prededed in death by 2 sons, Michael and Dennis.
Religious services will be held at the James A. Reed Funeral Home at Pillow, Pa. with burial at the Gratz Cemetery.2 - He was buried at Simeon United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin County, PA.2

She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, and was retired from apparel industries.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years, Haven N. Laudenslager of Millersburg; 3 daughters, Penny Klinger of Harrisburg, Sally Morgan of Millersburg, and Robin Laudenslager of Steelton; 3 sons, Joseph Laudenslager of Gratz, Steve Laudenslager of York and Tony Laudenslager of Etters; 2 sisters, Anna Coleman and Lillian Schwartz, both of Hegins and brother, Lawrence Yoder of Dalmatia. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Two sons, Michael and Dennis preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, PA at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10th, with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Interment in Gratz Union Cemetery.
