    Richard R. Hartman, 90, of Gratz, passed away on October 17, 2018, at his home in Gratz. He was born in Lykens Twp on May 17, 1928, a son the late Ray and Tillie (Klinger) Hartman. Richard was retired Truck Driver hauling cars.
    He served in the U. S. Army as an MP during the Korean War. He was the husband of the late Irene Ida (Laudenslager) Hartman. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Gratz VFW Post 2385, and Elizabethville Legion Post 404.
    Richard is survived by his two sons, Rodney Hartman, Eddie Hartman; daughter, Brenda Taylor; brother, Raymond Hartman. He was preceded in death by son, Richard Hartman, Jr., daughter, Shelly Hartman, wife, Irene I. Hartman, brother Eddie Hartman and sister Shirley Wilkins.
    A viewing will be held on October 24, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at 11:00 am at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Interment will take place in the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.5

    She was a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church and Gratz Lykens VFW Auxiliary.
    Surviving are her husband, Richard R. Hartman Sr.: three sons, Richard Jr., Rodney and Eddie, all of Gratz; two daughters, Brenda Taylor of Virginia Beach, Va. and Shelley L. Hartman of Harrisburg; two sisters, Blanche Shroyer of Harrisburg and Mary Starr of Gratz; and two brothers, Haven Laudenslager of Gratz and Charles Laudenslager of Elizabethville and four grandchildren.
    Services will be .held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at her church. Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Reed Funeral Home. Pillow.
