Linda Ann Straub
April 1, 1949 - August 23, 2024
MILLERSBURG - Linda Ann Straub, age 75, of Millersburg, PA died August 23, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 1, 1949 in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of the late William P. and Helen (Reisch) Henninger. A 1967 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, she continued her education and was a beautician for all of her working career. She spent over 40 of them working at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village and created many lifelong friendships. She retired in 2012 to babysit her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Linda was married to Duane C. Straub for 42 years. They celebrated their 40th anniversary with a long awaited road trip to Tennessee where they created memories that will always live on in his heart.
In addition to her husband Duane, she is survived by her son Sean and his wife Jaclyn of Millersburg, grandchildren Elliott and Evan, brother Dennis (Marilyn) Henninger, many nieces and nephews that she cherished like her own children, and countless dear friends.
She was a member of Salem U.C.C., Elizabethville.
Linda was known in the community for many things - she enjoyed baking; her cakes and desserts were over the top and she loved to share with everyone. Christmas was her favorite time of year because she was able to give of herself to bring joy to others, she seemed to forget no one. Her incredible ability to capture all the milestones of her son and grandchildren through scrapbooking leaves us with memories to reflect on that show how important they were to her. She never missed a sporting event that her boys played in.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Salem U.C.C., Elizabethville from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Salem U.C.C. in Elizabethville.
Arrangements are being cared for by the staff of Minnich Funeral. We are honored to serve this family at our Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg location.
