    Services for Blair Franklin Umholtz, 54, of Gratz, who died Tuesday in Valley View after being struck by a truck, will be held Friday morning from the Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial will be in the Gratz Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Logan, Grate, will officiate.
    Mr. Umholtz was born Aug. 21, 1920 in Gratz and was a son of Mrs. Fronie Ossman Umholtz and the late George Umholtz. He was a World War II veteran and had served in Japan. He was a member of Simeon's Lutheran Church, Gratz; American Legion Post, Lykens, and Sportsmen's Association, Erdman.
    Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Harold, president of the Gratz National Bank, and a niece.

    FORT WORTH - Frederick M. Wilkins, 79, a retired doctor of radiology, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in Fort Worth.
    FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel.
    MEMORIALS: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
    Dr. Wilkins was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Collingswood, N.J. He graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in mathematics and attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following graduation, he practiced medicine as a board-certified radiologist in Ohio for nine years and then headed the Department of Radiology at Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. As a specialist in nuclear medicine, Dr. Wilkins was responsible for numerous innovative treatment procedures. He also served twice as the president of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology. He was actively involved in teaching new physicians and taught courses at numerous medical schools. In 1979, he became the radiology department chairman at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, now known as University of North Texas Health Science Center, in Fort Worth. He held this position until he retired. He was honored as professor emeritus in 2000. He served as a consultant to the Indonesian government and developed Indonesia's first national curriculum in radiology.
    Dr. Wilkins was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ruth Wilkins and sister, Dorthy Giagnacova of Bristol, Pa.
    SURVIVORS: Wife, Peggy Wilkins of Fort Worth; daughter, Kimberly Schrader and her husband, Alfred, of West Hartford, Conn; son, Randall D. Wilkins of Phoenix, Ariz; grandson, Christian Frederick Schrader of West Hartford; granddaughter, Kristan Story of Fort Worth; daughter, Elaine Hawkins of Fort Worth; and sister, Virginia Parsons of Collingswood, N.J.
