  • The 1910 Census for Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA, lists a Daniel A. McKinney, born around 1881, as the son-in-law of Hiram and Abbie Knorr, married to their daughter Anna A. (Knorr). They had been married less than a year and had no children. Daniel was a carpenter for a housing contractor. In 1920, this Daniel was a building contractor in Sunbury and was father of 2 children, 2 sons Daniel, age 6, and John, age 5. It is not clear if this Daniel McKinney is the son of Catherine Klinger and Philip McKinney.4,5

    She is survived by four sons and two daughters: Newton, James and Harry Miller of Gratz and Nolan Miller of Spring Glen; Mrs. John Scheib of Hegins; Mrs. Nathan Klinger of Gratz; two sisters and two brothers: Mrs William Creel of Camden, New Jersey, Mrs. Angeline Kettinger [Reedinger /] of Wiconisco; Brady and Samuel Klinger of Wiconisco; also by ten grand children and ten great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held from the home of her son in Gratz this Thursday morning at ten o'clock, and further services will be held in Simeons Lutheran Church at that place, Rev. W. Z. Artz, pastor, officiating and interment will be made in the Gratz Cemetery.

    JONATHAN KNOHR
    Jonathan Knohr, aged 69 years, 4 months and 21 days, died at his home at Gratz last Wednesday afternoon. He had been in ill health for the past year.
    Mr. Knohr was a son of the late Henry and Hannah (Buffington) Knohr, born in Lykens Township, April 10, 1863. He was married to Sarah Louisa Klinger June 19, 1881 who passed away about eight years ago. He was a member of Simeon's Reformed Church at Gratz.
    Survivors are three sons and one daughter: Daniel and Harry Knohr of Gratz, Edmund Knohr of Valley View and Mrs. William Phillips, Gratz, with whom he had made his home, and where he passed awa
    Funeral services were held from the Phillips residence at two o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. C. P. Wehr pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge officiated and interment was made in the Gratz cemetery.
