Daniel Wesley Snyder was born on 29 October 1923, Rebuck, Northumberland County, Pa.2 He was the son of Emory B. Snyder and Ida E. Runkle.2 Daniel Wesley Snyder married Verna Kathryn Snyder on 19 June 1942.2 Some sources suggest that Daniel Wesley Snyder and Verna Kathryn Snyder were married on 19 June 1943 St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, Northumberland County, PA.1 Daniel Wesley Snyder died on 2 April 2009, at the home of his granddaughter, Rebuck, Northumberland County, PA, at age 85.2

REBUCK - Daniel W. Snyder, 85, of 2747 Schwaben Creek Road, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the home of his granddaughter and her husband, Josie and Robert Amundson, Rebuck. He had been in ill health for the past two years.
He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Rebuck, a son of the late Emory and Ida (Runkle) Snyder. He was married on June 19, 1942, to Verna K. (Snyder) Snyder of Rebuck.
Daniel was a graduate of the former Pine Park High School.
He was a retired farmer and owned and operated Snyder's Mill at Rebuck, from 1962 to the present. He was also a former school bus driver for the Mahanoy Joint High School.
He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church at Leck Kill, where he had been a member of the choir and served as choir director for 50 years, a former church council member, Sunday school teacher, cemetery committee member, Greenbrier Grange member, and a fomer secretary of the Stone Valley Mutual Insurance Company.
Daniel loved music, having played the trombone and baritone in the Greenbrier Band and was a former member of the Berrysburg Band and the Herndon Band.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bonita Snyder, Gary and Marie Snyder, and David and Cindy Snyder, all of Rebuck; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Snyder and Larry Weiner of Bethesda, Md; seven grandchildren, Diane Ernest, Josie Amundson, Ashley, Alexys, Spence, and Danielle Snyder, and Nichole Heim; 17 great grandchildren; five sisters, Evelyn Masser of Pitman, Bernice Rothermel of Klingerstown, Shirley Kauffman of Gratz, Kathryn Reiner of Leck Kill, and Leah Shade of Rebuck; four brothers, Rev. Vern Snyder of Birdsboro, Edward Snyder of Rebuck, Clarence Snyder of Valley View, and Wellington Snyder of Willmington, Del; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Snyder in 1978, a sister, Crystal Reiner, and a brother, Elwood Snyder.
A vieiwng will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Sonja Ware officiating.
Burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill.

Walter August Dietrich was born on 3 August 1877, Powell's Valley, Dauphin County, PA.2 He and Maud Elnora Klinger were the parents of Ellen M. Dietrich. Maud apaprently worked as Walter's housekeeper and he fathered her daughter Ellen. According to the 1920 Census, Maud was living in Walter's household as a housekeeper but was listed under her maiden name "Maud E. Klinger."3,4,5 Walter August Dietrich died on 20 February 1936, Lykens, Dauphin County, PA, at age 58.2

Born July 17, 1930, in Valley View, he was a son of the late Albert and Estella (Paul) Leitzel. He was married to the former Pat Scheib.
He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Leitzel was a paver operator for Meckley's Limestone Products Inc., Herndon.
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Pillow; Alvin E. Long American Legion, Mandata; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2385, Gratz-Lykens Township; and Pillow Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael of Pillow'; two daughters, Diane Kitson of Middletown, N.Y., and Sandra Erdman of Elizabethville RD; two brothers, Albert and James, both of Herndon RD; one sister, Carol Kissinger of Lykens RD; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, by the Rev. J. Robert Snyder. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Pillow.
