     Verna Kathryn Snyder was born on 7 October 1925, Leck Kill, Northumberland County, PA.1 She married Daniel Wesley Snyder, son of Emory B. Snyder and Ida E. Runkle, on 19 June 1942.2 Some sources suggest that Verna Kathryn Snyder and Daniel Wesley Snyder were married on 19 June 1943 St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, Northumberland County, PA.1 Verna Kathryn Snyder died on 25 September 2013, Nottingham Village, Northumberland, Northumberland County, PA, at age 87.3

Verna K. Snyder, 87, Rebuck
REBUCK — Verna K. Snyder, 87, of Rebuck, and a resident at Nottingham Village, Northumberland, for the last three years, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Nottingham Village.
She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Leck Kill, a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Paul) Snyder. She was married to Daniel W. Snyder, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2009.
Verna assisted her husband with farm work and bookkeeping for Snyder’s Mill, and after her children were grown, she worked at Randy Snyder’s Greenhouse.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, and its LCW group, and was a member of the Greenbrier Grange.
Verna enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, working in her flower beds, TV game shows and Phillies baseball. She took great pleasure knowing her windows were clean, free of spots and streaks.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Snyder and Larry Weiner, of Bethesda, Md; three sons and daughters-in- law, James and Bonita Snyder, Gary and Marie Snyder and David and Cindy Snyder, all of Rebuck; two sisters, Shirley Schreffler and Carolyn Keiter; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Burton and Paul Snyder, Alma Miller, Anna Smith, Hilda Rebuck, Dorothy Snyder, Evelyn Phil- lips and Edith Schorr.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, fol- lowed by the funeral at 11, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Leck Kill.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill.
