     Maud Elnora Klinger also went by the name of Maude Elizabeth.2 She was born on 21 April 1892.1 Some sources record that Maud Elnora Klinger was born in April 1891.3 She was baptized on 17 March 1896, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.1 She and Walter August Dietrich were the parents of Ellen M. Dietrich. Maud apaprently worked as Walter's housekeeper and he fathered her daughter Ellen. According to the 1920 Census, Maud was living in Walter's household as a housekeeper but was listed under her maiden name "Maud E. Klinger."2,4,5 The 1920 Census lists Maud and her daughter "Ellen Dietrich" as living in the household of Walter Dietrich in Lykens, Dauphin County, PA. Ellen was listed as Walter's "daughter," while Maud was listed under her maiden name of Klinger as "housekeeper." "Roy" E. Buffington was listed as a "boarder" in the same household.6 Troy Schreiber indicates that Maud and Walter never married and that they separated sometime after 1920.4 The 1930 Census lists Maude and her husband "Fred Fend" in Wiconisco Township, Dauphin County, in a household that included their son Fred. The elder Fred worked in a coal mine.7 Maud Elnora Klinger died on 4 March 1975, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA, at age 82.8,2

Maude Fenzl
Mrs. Maude Elizabeth Fenzl, 82, of Coaldale RD Lykens, died Tuesday in Dauphin County Hospital, Harrisburg. She was born at RD Lykens, a daughter of the late Philip and Mary Schubb Klinger Sr. She was the widow of Fred Fenzl.
Mrs. Fenzl was a member of the Elizabethville Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are a daughter Ellen, wife of Carlos Scheib of Pillow; a son Fred A., of Steelton; brothers and sisters, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday afternoon from the Shaffstall and Schultz Funeral Home, Lykens with Elmer A. Trout-man officiating. Interment will be in Wiconisco Cemetery.
