Emory B, Snyder, 61, Dies In Rebuck
Emory B. Snyder, 61, of Rebuck, well-known lower Northumberland county church man and musician, died at his home at 4:30 a. m. today. He had been in good health until Sunday morn ing, when he suffered a stroke. Another attack during the night resulted in death.
Born July 27, 1892, at Rebuck, the son of the late Wesley and Catherine Brosious Snyder, he was a farmer by occupation. He was. an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Leck Kill, where he had been choir director for 35 years. He was a member of Greenbriar Grange and was director of the Herndon Band while it was in existence.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ida Runkle, and twelve children, as follows: Elwood, Dornsife, R.D; Mrs. John Reiner, Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Kenneth Masser, Pitman; Rev. Vern Snyder, Lutheran minister at Gibraltar, near Reading; Mrs. Elwood Rothermel and Mrs. Paul Reiner, Klingerstown, R. D; Daniel Snyder, Edward Snyder, Rebuck; Mrs. Edwin Straub, Milersburg; Wellington Snyder, with the U.S. Army in Germany; Leah and Clarence Snyder, at home. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, a brother, Osman Snyder, Augustaville, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Reitz, Summerfield, Fla., and Mrs. Charle: I. Rebuck, Rebuck.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday from the Rothermel Funeral [H]ome in Klingerstown, R. D., continued in St. John's Church, Leck Kill. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. John Keener, St. John's pastor, will officiate. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home Thursday evening.

Mrs. Ida (Runkle) Snyder, 73, of Star Road, Rebuck, died suddenly Saturday night at 11:15 in her home of a heart seizure.
A lifelong resident of Rebuck, Mrs. Snyder was born in Rebuck, October 9, 1895. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Susan (Snyder) Runkle.
Mrs. Snyder was married to Emory Snyder who preceded her in death by 15 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, and the Green Briar Grange, Rebuck.
Survivors include 12 children Crystal, wife of the Rev. John Riner, Lutheran pastor Latrobe; Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Masser, Pitman; Mrs. Elwood (Bernice) Rothermel, Klingerstown, R.D; Mrs. Richard (Leah) Shade, Rebuck; Mrs. Issac (Shirley) hautfman, Northumberland Road; Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Reiner, Leck Kill: Elwood Snyder, Dornsife; the Rev.
