    Thomas H. Bressler, 72, of Fountain, Hegins Township, died Friday at home.
    Born in Hegins Township, Feb. 23, 1927, he was a son of the late Burd and Annie Shadle Bressler. He was a 1944 graduate of Hegins Township High School.
    He was an Army veteran of World War II.
    He worked as a farmer and coal miner before retiring.
    He was a member of United Church of Christ, Fountain; VFW Post 8237, Valley View and was president of Fountain Community Cemetery Board.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Sara Engle; three sons, Tommy, Hegins, and Scott and Jon, both of RD3 Hegins; two daughters, Chris Bowman, Valley View, and Jan Fairchild, Fredericksburg, Va; three sisters, Betty Otto, RD3 Hegins, Miriam Hunt-zinger, Mechanicsburg, and Joyce Runkle, Halifax; nine grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Church of Christ. The Rev. Claude Schach will officiate. Interment will be to Community Cemetery, Fountain. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Engle was a daughter of Freemont and Annie (Welker) Mauser, and was a member of Simeon's Reformed Church, Gratz.
    Survivors are her husband, two sons and two daughters, Stanley, Clair, Arlene and Betty, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Freemont Mauser, of Lykens R. D; and two brothers, John Mauser of Wiconisco and Clarence Mauser of Lykens R. D.
    Services were held from the home of her mother, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. A. Levan Zechman, pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge officiated and interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.

    LYKENS - Stanley E. Engle passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025.
    Stanley was born January 12,1930 in Lykens Township (Specktown) to Earl E. and Marguerite (Mauser) Engle.
    He graduated from Hegins High School in 1948 and earned a Certificate of Life Underwriters Degree (CLE) from Bryn Mawr College , Philadelphia Pa. He lived in Lykens for 70 years and was a member of the UCC Church of Christ in Lykens, the Liberty Hose Co. #2 (66 years) and a member of Beaver Camp (63 years), he served as Camp President and Secretary for many years.
    Stanley was the Sales Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company located in Williamstown from 1962 -1976 and then was co-owner of the Minnich and Engle's Market located in Millersburg, Pa. until he retired in 1992.
    Stanley's greatest joys included spending time with his family, siblings, playing euchre, hunting and golfing.
    Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth of 73 years and sister Arlene. He leaves behind to celebrate his life three sons Robert and his wife Kathleen (Tiazkun), Randy and his wife Denise (Ressler) and Dennis and his partner Julie Myers. Stanley has 7 grandchildren: Amanda Mease, Erin Smith, Elizabeth Crucitt, Erika Thomas, Kelsey Hepding, DJ Engle and Dannell Buffington. Additionally, he has 16 Great Grandchildren: Cali and Luke Mease, Elizabeth and Charlotte Smith, Grace and Jackson Crucitt, Levi, Jordon and Avery Thomas, Wesley, Logan and Aubrey Hepding, Lydia and Lee Engle and Beau and Cora Buffington. Stanley is also survived by his brother Clair Engle and wife Vivian of Elizabethville, Pa., and his sister Betty Grab of Dauphin.
    A viewing will be held at 9 AM on October 14, 2025 at Minnich Family Funeral Homes, 1238 W. Market Street. Williamstown, Pa. 17098 with a service to follow at 10:30 AM.
    In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Liberty Hose Company No. 2, 553 S Second St. Lykens Pa. 17048 www.lykensfire.com.
