    Ruth E. Kembel, 77, of Klingerstown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, January 26, 2026, at her residence. Born in Klingerstown, July 27, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Doris (Stuck) Klinger. She attended Tri Valley Schools, and was employed over 30 years in the laundry of the Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Nursing Center, Millersburg. Ruth was a member of the Tri Valley Bible Church, Sacremento. Preceding her in death was her husband, Gary Kembel, passing on January 20, 2016.

    John H. Ebright, once of Lewisburg
    STATE COLLEGE - John H. Ebright, 42, Houston, Texas, formerly of the Lewisburg area, died Thursday evening in State College Manor Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for two weeks. He had been ill since September and was hospitalized several times.
    Born in Shamokin, April 16, 1944, he was a son of the late Rolland and Gertrude (Cawthern) Ebright. He married the former Mary Jane Klinger of Lewisburg in 1967.
    Mr. Ebright grew up in the Dornsife area and attended Trevorton schools.He lived in Lewisburg from 1970 to 1981, and was a self-employed carpenter. He moved to Houston in 1981.
    In addition to his wife of Lewisburg; he is survived by two daughters, Pamela and Brandi, both at home; his stepfather, Palmer Wetzel of Dornsife RD; three brothers, Gary and Robert, both of Allenwood, and Roger of Brooklyn, N.Y; two sisters, Mrs. Karen Bordner of Herndon RD1 and Edna Tobias of Shamokin; five stepbrothers, Dean Wetzel of Sunbury, Drehr Wetzel of Denver, N.C., Dr. Drew Watzel of Northumberland, Derl Wetzel of West Germany and Ned Wetzel of Dornsife RD; three stepsisters, Mrs. Drene Jones of Sunbury, Mrs. Tamie Campbell of Gratz and Miss Jane Wetzel of Dornsife RD.
    The funeral will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Robert Foust Funeral Home, Trevorton, by the Rev.. Bob Caminiti. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Visitors may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m.
