    He was an U.S. Army veteran.
    He retired as a self-employed mason; and last worked as a driver with S&L Spindles, Millersburg.
    He was of the Protestant faith.
    He is survived by his companion with whom he resided, Brenda Buckler; his children: Samantha Shipley, Ray Barry Jr. and Maryann Harman, all of Lykens, Stacy Carr of Halifax, Timothy Shomper of Newport, David Weikel of Sacramento, Michael Weikel of Herndon and Louann Murphy and Tonya Knapp, both of Newville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Marlin, Carlie, Anna, Elsie and Darlene.
    Following his wishes there will be no services.

    Cora was a homemaker. She loved her flowers and gardening. She also loved to decorate for all the holidays, but especially Christmas.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Jeremiah S. Rupp, a daughter Barbara Ann Rupp and a great-granddaughter Bethany Lynn Harris, brothers William, John, Charles, Landy (Mark), and Ray, sisters Dorothy Barry, Ethel Jandle, Edith Schreiber, Loretta Troxell and Myrtle Fulkroad.
    She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Charles Brown of Dalmatia, a son and daughter-in-law Carl and Joan Rupp of Hunlock Creek, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Calvin Schreiber and Robert Schreiber.
    A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. Donations can be made to a person's favorite charity.2

    Barbara A. Rupp, 16, of RD 1 Shickshinny, died yesterday at 3:56 a. m. in General Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Friday night on Route 935 in Union Township, about six miles west of Hunlock Creek. Dr. George E. Hudock, county coroner, and Harry J. Hyman, deputy coroner, attributed death to head injuries sustained in the crash.
    She was a passenger in an automobile operated by Raymond Warner, 17, of RD l Box 416, Hunlock Creek. Warner was taken to General Hospital for treatment and was released. Another passenger, Randy Lee Tripp, 17, of RD 2 Shickshinny, was treated at Nanticoke State General Hospital and released.
    Accident occurred at 7:50 p.m. State Troopers Leonard Peterson and Donald Yarmol of Shickshinny substation reported Warner was traveling east on Route 935, failed to negotiate a left turn in the highway and crossed the roadway into the path of an auto driven by Daniel M. Patterson, 17, of RD 1 Hunlock Creek.
    Miss Rupp, daughter of Jeremiah and Cora Rupp was born May 10, 1955, at Lykens, Harrisburg, and was a student at West Side Vocational Technical, High School.
    Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Karl, at home; sister, Mrs. Gloria Brown, RD 1 Dalmatia; maternal grandmother, Mrs, Lillian Schreiber, Millersburg.
    Funeral will be held from the funeral home, Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, Tuesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Joseph Kugle of Hunlock Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.

    Funeral services for Kermit Spurgeon Bingaman, 32, of Dalmatia R.D. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hoover's Funeral home, Berrysburg. Mr. Bingaman was found dead Saturday morning in his car near Herndon R.D., from inhalation of carbon monoxide fumes.
    Burial will be made in God's Missionary Church Cemetery, Pillow, Rev. D. W. Dubendorf of Halifax will officiate and friends may visit the Berrysburg funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
    The deceased was born on May 28, 1932, in Herndon R.D., a son of Mrs. Jennie Bohner Bingaman, now of Millersburg, and the late Spurgeon Bingaman. He was a machinist by trade.
    Surviving are his mother, his wife, Myrtle, one son and three daughters, Ernest, Bonnie, Brenda and Sandra, all at home; two brothers, Paul of Millersburg and David, of Herndon R.D. and two sisters, Mrs Joseph Shomper and Mrs. James Shomper, both of Millersburg.
    The family told police tney had no knowledge of why Mr. Bingaman took his own life.

    Sandra D. Bingaman-Shomper, 62, of Millersburg passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, May 14, 2023.
    Born in Harrisburg, August 8, 1960, a daughter of the late Kermit Bingaman and Myrtle Schreiber Fulkroad. She was a 1978 graduate of Millersburg High School.
    Sandy enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Keys.
    Surviving are her two daughters, Crystal L. Shomper, Millersburg, and Cortney L. Shomper (Haley), Millersburg; her siblings, Ernest Schreiber (Gail), Fisherville, Jerry Fulkroad Jr. (Penny), Fisherville, Tina L. Strohecker (Roy), Millersburg, Hank Fulkroad, Elizabethville, and Brenda Sweigard, Millersburg; five grandchildren, Austin Webster, Ayden and Maddyn Etzweiler, Jersey Matter, and Lacie Zimmerman, all of Millersburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

    MILLERSBURG • Calvin “Son” Carlos Schreiber, age 79, passed away Oct. 27, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 15, 1940, in Harrisburg, son of the late Mark and Lilian (Klinger) Schreiber. He was retired from the Brubaker Tool Co., Millersburg. He had served in the Army National Guard. “Son” enjoyed gardening and being outdoors hunting deer and small game and spending time fishing from the banks of the Susquehanna River. He was an infamous tinkerer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Amanda (Stence) Schreiber; four children, Tammy Campbell, Halifax, Keith C. Schreiber, Millersburg, Eddie W. Schreiber, Millersburg and Troy A. Schreiber, Millersburg; brother, Robert “Bob” Schreiber, Newport; five grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Tabitha, Hailee and Paige; three great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by 11 siblings. A life celebration was held at Free Grace Brethren in Christ Church, Millersburg, Nov. 1. Interment was private and at the family’s convenience.     Kenneth was a former chief of the Hickory Corners Fire Company and Lower Mahanoy Fire Company, a member of the Klingerstown Fire company, a life member of the Berrysburg Fire Company, a former ambulance driver for the Dalmatia Area Ambulance Association and a member of the Hickory Ridge Runners.
    Kenneth was an avid blood donor and enjoyed hunting.
    He is survived by his wife, Janet Adams; one daughter, Tammie Adams, of Dalmatia; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Adams, of Millersburg; one sister, Lene Reitz, of Triangle, Va; one grandson, Tyler Adams, of Millersburg; his niece, Holly Briscoe, of Virginia; several aunts and uncles; and his faithful companion, his dog, Smokie.
    Friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Market and Chestnut streets, Pillow, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel Jr. officiating.
    Interment will be in Stone Valley Cemetery, Dalmatia.2
