    Alverta G. Kembel, 71, 317 Gap St. rear, Valley View, died Monday in Good Samaritan Hospital.
    She was born in Valley View, April 24, 1916, a daughter of the late John and Ida Harner Ressler.
    She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.
    Her husband, Lee, died in 1968.
    Surviving are two daughters, Judy Miller, Valley View, and Janet Hatter, Hegins; a son, Gary, Klingerstown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Matie Lebo, Connecticut, Anna Lichty, Allentown, Mary Fetterolf, Valley View, and, Naomi Smeltz, Wilmington, Del.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. The Rev. H. Kapp 0gburn III will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View. There will be no viewing Wednesday evening. Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
