  Alpha was born in Rough and Ready, on Oct. 25, 1945, a daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn Klinger Stiely.
  She was a 1963 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School.
  She was a member of David's United Church of Christ, Hebe.
  Alpha's greatest joy was raising and spending time with her family. She also worked with her husband in the family livestock business.
  She was preceded in death by siblings, Perry, Guy, Nancy, Donna, Jerry, Glen, Beverly, Jesse, Jimmy and an infant brother.
  She is survived by her husband, Terry G. Strohecker, to whom she was married for 53 years. She is also survived three sons, Randy L. Strohecker and his companion, Tiffany, Penns Creek, Michael G. Strohecker, Finland, and Chris A. Strohecker, Hebe; grandchildren, Amanda, Sean, Samantha, Benjamin, Braxton, Sebastian, Nikolas, Chase, Angus and Terri; great-grandchildren, Paiton and Hunter; a sister, Esther Jones; six brothers, Shorty, Donnie, Harry, Bobby, Paul and Ivan; a special daughter-in-law, Angie; nieces and nephews.
  Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Urban. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor DiAnn Baxley officiating. Burial will be private in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax. Memorial contributions may be made to David's United Church of Christ, 1907 Klingerstown Road, Herndon, PA 17830. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements.

  Harold "Pie" Keith Bechtel 1941-2003
  Harold "Pie" Keith Bechtel, age 61, of Pensacola, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2003 while visiting friends.
  Harold, or "Hal," as he was known to many, was born October 8, 1941 in Harrisburg, PA. He was the son of Harold H. and Mary Muth Bechtel and resided in Elizabethville, PA during his youth. He graduated from Upper Dauphin High School in 1959 and joined the Navy shortly thereafter.
  Hal's 20 year naval career took him all around the world, including a tour of duty at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. He received numerous awards and retired as a well respected and admired Senior Chief. His desire to further serve his country led him to pursue a civil service career as a logistics management specialist, as well as become a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch #022, Pensacola, FL.
  Among his many accomplishments, he was an outstanding member of the World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization, earning his second degree black belt under the flawless leadership of Master Hiroaki Toyama.
  Hal was truly the rock and strength of his family, gladly giving and making many sacrifices. He was an honorable, respectable, hard working family man that can never be replaced and will be greatly missed by us all.
  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold H. Bechtel.
  He is survived by his loving heart broken wife, Sharon; his children, Shelley, Marcie, Patrick, Christopher, Gloria and Nicholas, all of Pensacola, FL; his grandchildren, Ashley and Steven; his mother, Mary Bechtel; three brothers, Donald, Larry and Michael, all of Elizabeth, PA; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Schettler officiating. Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

  MILLERSBURG -- Donald R. Bechtel, 72, of Millersburg passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at his residence. Don was born May 14, 1945 to the late Harold "Pie" and Mary Muth Bechtel of Elizabethville. He was also preceded in death by a brother Harold "Bud" Bechtel of Pensacola, FL. He was a graduate of Upper Dauphin High School class of 1963. He retired after 48 years in the meat packing industry. He worked for Lesher Meats from 1963-65, Elizabethville Abittor from 1965-69, and Moyer Packing from 1969-2011. He also worked on the family farm for 30 years.
  Don enjoyed watching sports, summers at the beach, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Donna Manning Bechtel, and their dog, his buddy, Chase; his daughter Stacy Fenice and husband Samuel of Mechanicsburg, his son Scott Bechtel and wife Rachel of Mechanicsburg; his four grandchildren Grant and Gia Fenice and Zachary and Zoe Bechtel; a brother Michael Bechtel of Elizabethville.
  Don would prefer that his family and friends spend their time enjoying life and all their memories of him. Per his wishes, services were private and at the convenience of the family.   Ellen Arlene Williard Johnston, 90, of New Cumberland, PA entered her Heavenly Eternal home on Friday, December 18, 2020 under the care of Hospice of Central PA. She was born June 4, 1930 in Lykens to the late Roy Williard and Eva (Klinger) Schadle Paul. She was the widow of Harry R. Johnston. She is survived by her son, Timothy W. Johnston (Carole Jean) of Camp Hill; brothers, Ray Schadle of Herndon and Roy Williard of Williamstown; grandson, Gregory A. Johnston of New Cumberland; cherished nieces and nephews; a very special great-niece, Sheena Erdman of Elizabethville; step-grandchildren, Todd Young of Hamilton, NJ, Tara Stasi of Mechanicsburg, Tori Marmol (Jose) of Port Jefferson Station, NY; and step-great-grandchildren, Tommy and Sarah Chelednik of Mechanicsburg, Nathan and Meagan Young of New Market, MD, Joseph, Matthew, and Daniel Marmol of Port Jefferson Station, NY. She was preceded in death by sisters, Violet Schadle Williams and Kay Paul Matter; and brothers, Russell Schadle, Leon Schadle, James Schadle, Paul Williard, Vernon Williard, Arthur Williard; and infant siblings, Baby Boy Paul and Baby Girl Schadle. Her deep faith in God and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ sustained her through many trials, and she always said, "God will take care of me." Ellen cherished her family, Tim and Greg were the love of her life, and her home was her foundation. Her best friends were the Valley Girls from high school who celebrated birthdays and lunches with margaritas. Ellen loved to entertain, was an excellent cook and enjoyed auctions, flea markets, antiques, travel, music, dancing and sharing memories and stories. Ellen was an organ donor. The eldest of her 13 siblings, she was born on Luxembourg Road, Lykens, R.D., on her maternal grandparents' farm, raised lovingly by Lizzy (Scheib) and Charles Klinger (Mammy and Pappy). In 1949, she came to the big city of Harrisburg to find her fortune; she met a young WWII paratrooper, fell in love, and married on December 27, 1952. Harry R. Johnston (Hike) died in 1991. She attended a one room country school in Erdman – Kessler's School. She graduated from Hubley Township High School, Spring Glen, attended Penn State University Middletown Campus, Penn Central Beauty School, and Realtor's Institute, G.R.I. Careers included Studio Girl Cosmetics, Hollywood, CA, Sarah Coventry Jewelry, manager, cosmetology teacher, supervisor and Dean of Admissions Tri-County Beauty School in Harrisburg, Realtor and Realtor Emeritus with Steenland Country Club Realty, Dougherty and Twigg, and Jack Gaughen, all in Camp Hill. She volunteered at the Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg Association of Realtors State and National Associations, Tall Cedars Auxiliary and Red Hat Society. Visitation will be from 10AM until funeral services at 11AM, Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Calvary Chapel Harrisburg – West Shore, 702 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA, with her Pastor Matt VanderVen officiating.
