    Daniel E. Klinger, 83, of Sunbury, died at his home on Wednesday. He had been failing for six months and death was due to a heart attack.
    A native of Elizabethville RD, Dauphin County, he was born April 9, 1884, a son of the late Henry and Catherine Koppenhaver Klinger.
    He was a former employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad and also worked for the late E. M. Renn, of Sunbury. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg.
    Survivors include his widow, the former Grace A. Wendt, at home; a daughter, Martha, wife of Earl Aucker and three grandchildren, Daniel, Joan and Mary, all of Sunbury; a sister, Mrs. Mary Stine, Berrysburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were in Sunbury Saturday with the Rev. William H. Moyer, pastor of the Albright EUB Church, Sunbury officiating. Burial was made in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.4

Friends may call after 7 o'clock Friday evening at the home. Holtzman, a native of Rife, was graduated from the Lebanon Valley College and later became a student minister. He was a former assistant boys' work secretary at the Lebanon Y. M. C. A; general secretary of the Hennepin County Sunday School Association at Minneapolis, Minn; adult Bible class secretary of the Philadelphia County Bible class movement, a staff member of the Hockenbury System, Inc., and a director of the membership bureau of the State Chamber or Commerce.
    Mr. Holtzman was a member of Grace United Brethren Church, Penbrook; Robert Burns Lodge, No 464, Free and Accepted Masons; Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine; Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg, and Central Y. M. C. A.
    Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Ethel Wood Holtzman; one daughter. Mrs. Frances H. Colbert, Arlington, Va; two sons, George M. Holtzman, Penbrook, and Thomas Holtzman, student at Gettysburg College.

    Funeral services for Frances L. Colbert, 89, of Loysville will be held at 1 1 a.m. Friday at Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville. She died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, in his [her] home.
    Born Oct. 15, 1913, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Mark George and Ethel (Wood) Holtzman and the widow of Elmer Ellsworth Colbert, who died in 1973.
    Mrs. Colbert was a graduate of John Harris High School, Ward-Belmont College, Nashville, Tenn., and Lebanon Valley College. She was a chemist for the National Bureau ef Standards, Washington, D.C., and a writer for the Northern Virginia Sun, Arlington, Va.
    She was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church, Loysville, and New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, Washington, D.C. She also was a member of the Arlington County Rose Society; Neighbor's Clubs of Loysville and Arlington, Va; and Daughters of the American Revolution, Washington, D.C.
    She also was a licensed nursery manager and very active in gardening.
    She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Lynn Potter of Vienna, Va; a brother, Dr. Thomas Holtzman of Harrisburg; a grandson, Matthew C. Potter of Vienna, Va; a nephew; and a niece.
    The Rev. Kenneth P. Osborne will officiate at services. A fellowship time in the church will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., following the services.
    Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the East Harrisburg Cemetery, 2260 Herr St., Harrisburg.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Nickel Funeral Home, West Main St., Loysville, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the church.

    Dr. Thomas W. (Tink) Holtzman, age 92, of Paxtang, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Messiah Village surrounded by his loving family.
    Born January 12, 1919 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Mark and Ethel (Wood) Holtzman; and was also preceded in death by a brother, George; a sister, Frances; his son, Dr. Thomas Holtzman, Jr; his grandson, Zachary Holtzman and a granddaughter, Jan Ruckle. He was a graduate of John Harris High School; attended Duke University and graduated from Gettysburg College and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He practiced dentistry for 47 years in Penbrook and served his country proudly as a dentist and officer in the United States Navy.
    He was a member and elder at Paxton Presbyterian Church.
    Tink was an avid golfer, and was club champion many times at the Hershey Country Club, where he belonged since the 1940s and was the club's longest-standing member. He was also a devout Phillies Baseball and Duke Basketball fan.
    A dedicated family man, he is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Jeannette (Appleby) Holtzman; his daughter, Emily (and her husband, Stephen) Ruckle, Bloomsburg; his son: James (and his wife, Cheryl) Holtzman, Harrisburg; his daughter in law: Dorothy (Dolly) Holtzman, Harrisburg; five grandchildren: Douglas Ruckle, Jessica Holtzman-Rich, Megan Cook, Daniel Holtzman and John Holtzman; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.
    Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 in his church with the Rev. John Green, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Paxton Churchyard. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m., until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the church.

    HALIFAX — Frank E. Klinger, 67, of Halifax RD 2, was fatally stricken Wednesday [May 29, 1963] afternoon while working near Lykens. He died later in the Polyclinic Hospital.
    Mr. Klinger was a farmer and also had worked for the state Department of Highways in recent years. He was a member of the Halifax Methodist Church, and the P.O.S. of A. Lodge, Halifax. He also was a member of the Millersburg Odd Fellows Lodge; Susquehanna Lodge 364, F. & A.M., Millersburg, and the Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Temple.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. F. May Klinger, and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home at 512 Market St., Millersburg. The Rev. Harry Kaufhold, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Halifax Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be conducted by the Susquehanna Lodge at 9 p.m.6

    Mrs. Bertha Tyson Boyer, 43, died Friday afternoon as the result of a fall which occurred Friday mommg on the cement steps at her home east of town. She suffered a fractured skull and other injuries. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, where she was an active worker, filling the capacity of superintendent of the Junior Christian Endeavor Society. She was the widow of the late Israel Tyson.
    Mrs. Boyer is survived by her husband, Monroe Boyer; her daughter, Miss Mildred Tyson, a student nurse at the Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City; her mother, Mrs. Willis O Neill, ot Millersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Coldren of Chambersburg, and Mrs. Charles Potteiger, Jr., of Millersburg.
    Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with the pastor, the Rev. Frederick C. Sternat, officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Potteiger, of Grace Evangelical church, Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
