Services will be held of Wednesday from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing from 10-11 AM and a Graveside Service and burial to follow in the Wila Cemetery with Military Honors by the Perry Military Honor Guard.3

A retired supervisor for Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, he was a counselor and tax preparer for AARP and was a master farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the NRA, AARP, Loyal Order of Moose 842 in Chambersburg, New Bloomfield Fire Co., and Madison Grange, Loysville. His hobbies included gardening, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Klinger is survived by his wife, Jane Heimbach Klinger; a son, Scott A; three brothers, Dale and David of Newport and John of Elliottsburg; a sister, Carrie Fox of Philadelphia; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence.

Pauline M. Hoffman was born on 10 December 1939.2 She was the daughter of Floyd Hoffman and Gladis (?)2 Pauline M. Hoffman married John H. Klinger, son of Samuel Henry Klinger and Catherine E. Campbell.1 Pauline M. Hoffman was buried on 11 August 2006, at Elliottsburg, Perry County, PA.2 She was buried at Old Eshcol Cemetery, Eshcol, Perry County, PA.2

Ida Merneron Messner was born on 8 May 1877.1,3 She was the daughter of William Messner and Elizabeth Bird.3 Ida Merneron Messner married Thomas Fulton Klinger, son of Samuel Klinger and Rebecca Cooper.1 Ida Merneron Messner died on 29 November 1952, Lykens, Dauphin County, PA, at age 75.4,3 She was buried on 2 December 1952, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, PA.3

Burns Prove Fatal To Lykens Woman
Mrs. Ida Klinger, age 75 yeara, suffered fatal burns at her home in Main Street, Lykens, Saturday morning when her clothing caught fire as she attempted to light an oil stove.
According to advices, after her clothing ihecame ignited, Mrs. Klinger ran into the yard of her home where she collapsed. Her screams had attracted neighbors, who summoned a physician. She had sustained severe burns of her body.
Mrs. Klinger, who resided alone, was the widow of Thomas Klinger. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Rev. Charles Messner of Carlisle and Arthur Messner of Wilkes-Barre, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held from the Helt Funeral Home, Lykens, Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Samuel Stoner, pastor of the Lykens Evangelical United Brethren Church officiating. Interment was made at Mt. Carmel.
