Janet May Mahlin was born on 16 August 1939, McAlisterville, Juniata County, PA.3 She was the daughter of Earl D. Mahlin and Mona Waneda Husselton.2 Janet May Mahlin married Roland Dale Klinger, son of Samuel Henry Klinger and Catherine E. Campbell, on 8 June 1957, Trinity Lutheran Church, McAlisterville, PA.1 Janet May Mahlin died on 27 December 2020, Milford Township, Juniata County, PA, at age 81.3

Janet May Klinger, 81, of Ickesburg, formerly of McAlisterville, passed away at 5:00 AM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Locust Grove Retirement Village in Mifflin.
Born on August 16, 1939 in McAlisterville, Juniata Co., she is a daughter of the late Earl David Sr. and Mona Waneda (Husselton) Mahlin.
Surviving her are: a son, Robert E. Klinger and his companion Michele Pearson of Ickesburg; one sister in law, Shirley Mahlin of Mifflintown; three grandchildren, Ashley Herrold and her husband Corey, Wesley Klinger and his wife Kerstyn, and Aubrey Mitchell; and three great grandchildren, Kylynn Herrold, Paxton Herrold, and Camden Klinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Myers and two brothers, Earl David “Sonny” Mahlin, Jr. and Robert E. Mahlin.
Ms. Klinger was employed and retired from Lyons Fashion in McAlisterville. In earlier life, she was employed in the Kitchen and Laundry Departments and as an Activities Director at Meda Nipple Convalescent Home in Maze.
She was a former member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. Johns United Methodist Church, both of McAlisterville.
When health permitted, Janet cherished the time spent with her family.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from the St. Johns United Methodist Church Cemetery, 675 Red Bank Road, McAlisterville.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ms. Klinger’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.

Mary Jane Myers married Albert Glenn Klinger, son of Samuel Henry Klinger and Catherine E. Campbell, on 1 May 1957, United Church of Christ, Newport, Perry County, PA.1,2 It is possible that Mary Jane Myers and Jane Heimbach are the same person. Sources refer to Mary Jane Myers as a sister of "Mrs. Roy F. Rager," of Lewistown. a 1939 Marriage License for Roy F. Rager lists his wife to be as Viola Heimbach."3
