Paul Shade, son of Marlin Henry Kessler and Irene Sarah Schade, on 5 May 1956.4,1 Leah Annabelle Snyder died on 24 May 2026, Nottingham Village Nursing Center, Northumberland, Northumberland County, PA, at age 90.2

Leah Annabelle (Snyder) Shade, 90, of Dornsife, passed away Sunday, May 24th, at Nottingham Village Nursing Center.
Leah was born in Greenbrier, PA on March 26, 1936, a daughter of the late Ida (Runkle) Snyder and Emory Snyder. She married Richard Shade on May 5, 1956.
Leah is survived by one daughter, Ginny Billow, wife of Paul Jr., of Dornsife, PA; one daughter-in-law Robyn, widow of Gregory Snyder, of Rebuck, PA; 5 grandchildren, Gregory Snyder, Melissa Myers, Sarah Snyder, Becky Costa, Josh Billow; her 11 great-grandchildren and her one brother, Clarence "Sam" Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard D. Shade; her son Greg; her five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 9:30 AM - 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill where the funeral will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Rick White officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leck Kill
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Richard D. Paul Shade was born on 16 October 1934, Fearnot, Schuylkill County, PA.1 He was the son of Marlin Henry Kessler and Irene Sarah Schade.1,3 Richard D. Paul Shade married Leah Annabelle Snyder, daughter of Emory B. Snyder and Ida E. Runkle, on 5 May 1956.1,4 Richard D. Paul Shade died on 28 October 2013, Rebuck, Northumberland County, PA, at age 79.1

Born in Fearnot Oct. 16, 1943, he was a son of the late Irene Shade and stepson of the late Marlin Kessler.
He attended Hubley Township High school and served with the National Guard.
Richard was married May 5, 1956, to the former Leah Snyder, who survives.
He worked as a steel worker at Bethlehem Steel Company, Steelton, for 40 years.
He was a member of the Herndon F&AM Lodge 702 and Erdman Sportsman Association. He was also a lifetime member of the Herndon Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a daughter, Ginny Billow and husband, Paul Jr., of Dornsife; a daughter-in-law, Robyn Snyder, a widow of Gregory Snyder, of Rebuck; a sister, Barbara Roadcap; five grandchildren, Gregory Snyder, Melissa Myers, Sarah Snyder, Becky Spickler and Josh Billow; nine great-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Greg, and a brother, Jimmy Kessler.
