Joseph Zurat, 69, of RD4 Pine Grove, died Thursday at home.
Born in Buck Run, he was a son of the late Maximillian and Tekla Roman Zurat.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove; Pine Grove American Legion Post 374; Pine Grove Area Senior Citizens; and Iron Workers Local 823 of Canada.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Kintzel; three sons, Harold E. Krammes Jr. Pine Grove, Joseph Zurat Jr., Orwin, and Maximillian Zurat, New Cumberland; three daughters, Kay F. Cooper, Maryann Rehrer, and Brenda E. Miller, all of Pine Grove area; two brothers, Michael, Orwin, and John, Shoemakersville; two sisters, Irene Kraus, Bristol, Conn., and Mary Majewshi, Venice, Fla; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Hoenich and Sister Janet Stump will officiate. Interment will be in Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, RD2 Pine Grove. H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.

Marva L. Paul, 77, of 410 North St., Williamstown, passed away Saturday at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.
She was born in Tremont, June 9, 1934, a daughter of late Percival and Verna Gable Zerbe.
She was the former owner Marva's Beauty Shop, Williamstown.
She was a member of Twin Valley Alliance Church of Williamstown.
Marva enjoyed spending time with her family gardening and was very active in church.
She was preceded in death two brothers, Solomon Zerbe and Arthur Zerbe.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald C. Paul, to whom she was married for 61 years. She is also survived by two sons, Ronald H. Paul and wife, Donna, Williamstown and Robert W Paul, Williamstown; two daughters, Wanda R. Caster and her husband, Brent, Williamstown and Dianne M. Morrell, Williamstown; nine grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Twin Valley Alliance Church, Williamstown, with the Rev. Donald Morgantini and the Rev. Joel McGarvey officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery Orwin. Surviving are her son, John Lewis III, Williamstown; her daughter Kelly Sullivan and her husband Jayson, Vero Beach, Florida; a granddaughter, Bella Sullivan, Florida; a sister, Wanda Caster and her husband Brent, Williamstown; two brothers, Ronald Paul and his wife Donna, and Robert Paul, both of Williamstown; several nieces and nephews.
