  He was a widower and had been married to Dorothy Jean Brickan. He leaves four children from his first marriage to Joyce Orene Brickan; his daughters Sandra L. Mackinder, Susan O. Martin, Bonnie A. Brickan and one son, Robert A. Brickan. He leaves 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a sister, brother, nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 2, 1938. He graduated from Coolie High School and attended Wayne State University. His trade was draftsman and salesman.
  He was an avid sports enthusiast rooting for all Michigan teams and attending several sporting events throughout his life. He collected signed baseballs, baseball cards and other sports memorabilia.
  The memorial will be held at Sunwest Funeral home on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm, officiating will be Rev. Will Hathaway. There will be no graveside service and a good old fashioned Irish Wake will be held at his grandson’s house in Chandler, AZ on September 17, 2016 at 4:00 pm.²
