  She had worked in the past for the former Lebro Shirt Manufacturing, Lykens, the former, Nedrich factory, Elizabethville and the former Seal Glove Co., Berrysburg.
  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg and was very active with the church and its functions, including Quilt Making, Evangelism and the Strawberry Festival event. Marie especially enjoyed family gatherings at the house and using her pool.
  She was the widow of Neal F. Wise and James W. Casner.
  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy M. Wise and son Troy L. Casner; 4 brothers, Earl, Floyd, Leroy, Frank; 3 sisters, Anna Callahan, Virginia Wiest, Faye Whitcomb.
  The family will receive friends at St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 10-11 AM. Services will start at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.

  Pedestrian Killed When Hit By Car
  Franklin H. Wiest, age 52 years, of Elizabethville R. D. 1, was killed when struck by an automo| bile while he was walking along highway route 209, near his home, one-half mile east of Elizabethville, early Sunday morning.
  The driver of the car, Motor Police of the Lykens sub-station reported, was Mrs. Phyllis L. Teter, of Wiconisco.
  Mr. Wiest, it was stated, was walking eastward, and the car was traveling in the same direction. When the car was stopped, the man was found under the rear axle of the vehicle, and was dead. He had sustained a fractured skull and other injuries.
  Mr. Wiest was a son of Charles and Emma (Yoder) Wiest, and was a native of Klingerstown.
  Survivors are his parents, his wife, Mrs. Molly Wiest, and the following children: Earl Wiest, serving with the army in California; Mrs. Albert Keller, Lebanon;| Anna Wiest, Harrisburg; Woodrow, Hilda, Marie, Floyd, Faye, Verna, Franklin Jr., Betty, Dolly, and Leroy Wiest, all at home. Other survivors are three sisters, Emma, Stella, and Mrs. Walter Heinisty, and two brothers, David and Charles Wiest, all of Lebanon.
  Funeral services will be held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Elizabethville, at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. W. Z. Artz, pastor of the Lykens Valley Lutheran Parish will officiate and interment will be in the Gratz Cemetery.
