    Harry E. Rebuck, 84, a lifelong resident of RD Dornsife. died at 9:45 Tuesday morning at Mountain View Manor, RD Shamokin, here he was a guest since March 18, 1975.
    Mr. Rebuck, born at RD Dornsife on June 4, 1892 was the son of the late Henry and Agnes Hoke Rebuck. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck, Independent Order of Odd FeUows at Red Cross, and the Tri-County Past Grands Association.
    He was married Nov. 15, 1914 at Red Cross to the former Mabel A. Kahler who survives.
    Surviving, in addition to his widow, are five children, Paul G. Rebuck; Elda, wife of Carl Schlegel, Tower City; Darwin F., Loyalton; Marlin G., Gratz; Shirley, wife of Richard London, RD3 Sunbury; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George, RD Dornsife; James, Sunbury; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Troutman, Selinsgrove; Mrs. Bertha Stetler, New York.
    Services will be held Friday morning in Himmel's Church with the Rev. Paul Billow, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be. in Himmel's Cemtery. The Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, RD Klingerstown, has charge of arrangements.

    DORNSIFE -- The funeral for Mrs. Mabel A. Kahler Rebuck, 82, of Dornsife RD, will be conducted at 11 a.m.Thursday in Himmel's Lutheran Church, Re buck, by the Rev. Paul Billow. Burial will be in Himmel's Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Friends may call in the church Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Mrs. Rebuck died at 4:50 a.m. Monday in the Sunbury Community Hospital, where she was a patient since Saturday. She was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church and Sunday school and the Women's Group of the Church, Rebuck. She also was a member of the Idella Rebekah Lodge 58, of Dornsife, Past Nobels Grand Association; and the Herndon Senior Citizens.
    Born in Dornsife, RD on Jan. 1, 1898, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma Jane Hoch Kahler.
    Her husband, Harry E. Rebuck, died in 1976.
    She is survived by five children, Paul G. Rebuck of Rebuck, Mrs. Elda Schlegel of Tower City, Darwin F. Rebuck of Loyalton, Marlin H. Rebuck of Gratz, and Mrs. Shirley London of Sunbury RD3; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grand-children; and one great-great-granddaughter.

    He was employed as a press operator for Moen, Pine Grove, for 39 years.
    He was the former chief of the Hegins Fire Company for more than 17 years.

    He was born on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1927, in Hegins, a son of the late Arthur and Laura Kessler Geist.
    He served in the Army during World War II. He was coal miner for area coal mines and had worked for PennDOT for eight years. He was of the Protestant faith.
    He was a member of American Legion Post 575 and VFW Post 8237, both of Valley View, the former Valley View Fire Company, Hegins Fire Company, and the Valley View Gun Club. He also volunteered as grass mower for the Hegins Park for over 40 years.Marvinwas die hard Phillies fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James M. Geist; two brothers, Walter Geist and Clyde Geist; and a sister, Eleanor Reinoehl.
    He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Dunkelberger Geist, to whom he was married for 70 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Willier and her husband, Larry, of Hegins, and Debra L. Buffington and her hus- band, Charles, of Hegins; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; two brothers, Arnold Geist, of Hegins, and Ronald Geist, of Hummelstown; a sister, Lorraine Schwalm, of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

    Betty M. (Dunkelberger) Geist, age 95, of Hegins, PA passed away February 24, 2022 at Providence Place of Pine Grove, PA
    She was born Wednesday, January 12, 1927, the daughter of the late William H. and Maude E. (Bateman) Dunkelberger.
    Betty was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School and was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hegins. She was also a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens and enjoyed many memorable trips with her dear friend, Julie Klinger. Ireland being a favorite.
    Betty and her husband, Marvin, along with his brother, Walter owned and operated the former, “Valley Lunch” in Hegins which was located across from the Tri-Valley High School.
    She and Marvin were married February 19, 1948 and celebrated 70 years of marriage. Along with raising their 3 children, Betty worked for 25 years as a “cafeteria/lunch lady” at Hegins-Hubley Elementary School. She is fondly remembered by the many kiddos she served. She was a Ladies Auxiliary member and also tended the cake wheel for the Hegins Fire Company carnivals for many years.
    Mom/Memmy enjoyed so much throughout her life: walks, shopping trips with dear friends, vacations with her husband, baking, quilting. She loved camping with the entire family at the Port Royal cabin, which her grandparents and family built. Multiple generations of relatives have enjoyed making memories there.
    Our family tradition of gathering every Monday evening to enjoy family and Mem’s yummy baked goods will be missed, but the memories will be treasured.
    Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Geist, their son, James M. Geist as well as her parents and brother, LeRoy H. Dunkelberger.
    Betty is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Larry) Willier and Debra (Charles) Buffington, Hegins; sisters-in-law, Mary Dunkelberger, Hegins; Lorraine Schwalm, Harrisburg and Ann Geist, Hershey; brother-in-law, Arnold Geist, Hegins. She has 7 grandchildren, Beth Betz (Harold), Michael Willier (Shannon), Jill McAllister (Bradley), Ryan Buffington (Bridgit), Lynn McClaus, Tammy Fredericks, and Cathy Geist; 10 great-grandchildren, Jared, Megan, Jordan, Bryar, Rydan, Lily, Brandon, Alexis, William and Henry and three, soon to be four great-great granddaughters, Brielle, Willow, Olivia and Baby Betz; and many nieces and nephews.
    As per Betty’s wishes, there will be no services.

    GRATZ, March 8.-- Mrs. Mary Liza Wolfe, wife of Jacob M. Wolfe of Rhumstown, aged 44 years, 6 months and 20 days, died at the Harrisburg hospital Thursday evening ot last week following an operation, after an illness of about seven weeks.
    She was a resident of this section for the past thirty years, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Her-ner and was born about one mile south of Valley View.
    March 3, 1904, she was united in marriage to Jacob Wolfe who survives with eleven children: Arthur, Walter, Mamie, (Mrs. John Thomas), Allen, Helen, Paul, Vergie, Mary, Charles, Warren and Elsie. Beside these are her mother, Mrs. John Herner, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schach and Mrs. George Crissinger, and three brothers, William Herner of Valley View; George Herner of Spring Glen, and Edward Harner of Pitman.
    Mrs. Wolfe was a faithful member of the Fearnot U. B. Church where the funeral services were held Monday forenoon at 9:30 o'clock by the Rev. H. M. Mentzler, after which burial was made in the Fearnot cemetery.

    Betty J. Wolfe, 86, of 701 E. Market St., Gratz, passed away Monday at her residence.
    She was born in Hegins, Feb. 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Albert Ebert and Irene Ely Ebert.
    She was a 1943 graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.
    She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot.
    Betty enjoyed drawing, painting and sewing.
    She was the costume designer and most important fan of the Wolfe family band. Betty was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and housewife.
    She was preceded in death by her a son, Larry E. Wolfe; a daughter, Sandra L. Wolfe; a great-grandson, Anthony J. Satterly; and a daughter-in-law, Susanne L. Wolfe.
    She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Wolfe, to whom she was married for 68 years; two sons, Bruce A. Wolfe and his wife, Ewa, Endwell, N.Y., Robert A. Wolfe, Sayre; daughter, June M. Willard and her husband, Frederick, Gratz; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery Memorial contributions can be made to SunHealth Hospice, P.O. Box 232, Northumberland PA 17857-0232.     MILLERSBURG - Marie A. Willard, 93, a resident of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Halifax and Millersburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 19, 2017 at the Hershey Medical Center.
    She was born on April 27, 1924 to the late Robert and Anna (Radel) Walborn of Millersburg and was preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Willard.
    Marie was a member of the Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church, Halifax and a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, Millersburg where she was active in the choir for many years.
    Marie found great pleasure in music, Phillies Baseball, but most importantly, her loving family.
    She is survived by her children, Michael (Faith), Halifax; Fred (June), Gratz; Patricia Gelches (Thomas), Scranton and Wendy Barkus (Lee), Harrisburg. Marie is also survived by grandchildren, Daniel Willard, Julie McCarron, Bryan Willard, Liberty Sprague, Jennifer Miller, Zachery Barkus, Jordan Barkus and six great grandchildren, a sister, Lucille Beistel, VA, a niece and nephews.
    A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
    The family will host an open house celebration of Maria's life in the Grand Lodge, Salon 2, at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Sunday, August 20th from 1:00-4:00.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the or to the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

    Jennifer L Miller, age 42, of Halifax, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence after a courageous eight year battle with melanoma.
    She was born on Wednesday, December 22, 1976, in Pottsville, a daughter of Fred W Willard and June M Wolfe Willard of Gratz.
    She was a 1995 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School; where she was a cheerleader; and a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College.
    Jen was a certified respiratory therapist at Hershey Medical Center for twenty years; where she loved her job and caring for her patients.
    She was a member of Halifax United Methodist Church.
    Jen loved to crochet, enjoyed gardening and flowers, music, dancing, and watching softball.
    She is survived by her husband Kenneth L Miller Jr, to whom she was married for eighteen years.
    Surviving in addition to her parents and her husband are a daughter, Paige E Miller; a brother, Daniel R Willard and his wife Terri of Pine Grove; and maternal grandfather, Robert A Wolfe of Gratz.
    Funeral services will be held at Halifax United Methodist Church, Halifax, on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brendan Hock officiating.
    A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church.
    Burial will be in Halifax United Methodist Church Cemetery.
