    Ernest G. Rebuck, 95, of RD Klingerstown, passed away at his home on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.
    Ernest was born in Leck Kill, PA on January 21, 1922, a son of the late Jemima A. (Wiest) and Charles E. Rebuck.
    Ernest was a graduate of Pine Park High School, Leck Kill.
    His life’s work was farming having worked the same land since childhood through his adult life. He was a very resourceful businessman and, as he reduced the acreage he tilled, he started marketing through the Middleburg auction.
    He thoroughly enjoyed preparing for the almost weekly trips and gained a reputation for delivering quality products. Ernest was also a school bus driver transporting area students to Line Mountain H. S. and Treverton M. S.
    His interests included carpentry. He fabricated several kitchens, chests for grandchildren, and various shelves, and cabinets for his wife and family. His favorite pastime included fishing and hunting trips to Sullivan County where at one time he owned a cabin.
    Ernest was a member of Salem Lutheran and Reformed Church until the union was dissolved and he joined St. John's Lutheran Church. He was an active member at Salem helping maintain the church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and council member.
    He was married to Rosie M. Rebuck for 71 years before she preceded him in death January 2015. Ernest is survived by one daughter, Rosanna M., and husband Gary Schwartz, of Hegins; two sons Ernest C. Rebuck, of Austin, TX, and Sterlin M. and wife Ann Rebuck of Cumberland, MD. He has 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; one brother Charles E. Rebuck, Jr., as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Ernest was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Reitz and Esther Speck.
    Viewing will be held Friday, April 28, 10:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Rev. Al Sones, Good News Church, Mechanicsburg, PA officiating.

    Charles E. "Charlie" Rebuck, Jr. 91, of Klingerstown, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
    Charles was born in Klingerstown, on May 8, 1929, a son of the late Charles E Sr., and Jemima A (Wiest) Rebuck.
    He graduated from the Pine Park High School and worked as a farmer raising poultry and growing crops.
    He was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready and had served on the consistory in the past. Charlie was also a member of the Klingerstown and Mahantongo Fire Companies.
    In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, and also liked to draw and read.
    He is survived by his wife of 69 years Grace (Maurer) Rebuck, they were married, June 16, 1951. Also surviving are two sons Christopher Rebuck of Klingerstown and Craig Rebuck of Harrisburg; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Rebuck and Allison Rebuck; as well as nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Rebuck, and two sisters Alma Reitz and Esther Speck.
    A private memorial service will be held with Pastor Al Sones officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown.

    ORWIGSBURG -- Esther M. (Rebuck) Speck, 53, of 223 Pine Blvd., Deer Lake, Orwigsburg RD1, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1991, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville.
    She was born in Danville, Nov. 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Charles E. Sr. and Jemima (Weist) Rebuck. She was married to Howard E. Speck Jr.
    She was a home health aid for the Home Care Professionals Inc., Pottsville.
    Mrs. Speck was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hamburg.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey H. of Blandon and Robert C. of Royers-ford; one granddaughter; two brothers, Ernest Rebuck and Charles E. Rebuck Jr., both of Klingerstown; and one sister, Alma Reitz of Camp Hill.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the John H. Lundbye Funeral Home Inc., 116 S. Liberty St., Orwigsburg, by the Rev. Walter P. Fetterly of West Reading. Burial will be in St. John's, United Church of Christ Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
    There will be no visitation Sunday. Visitors may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

    DALMATIA -- Dennis K. Bingaman, 66, of 654 State Route 225, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at his home. He had been in ill health since December 2006.
    Born in RR1 Dalmatia on Jan. 9, 1941, he was a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Hoffman) Bingaman.
    He was a 1958 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School. He was an electronic engineer, having been employed by WKOK radio station in Sunbury, retiring in December of 2006.
    He enjoyed woodworking, electronics, and reading.
    He was a member of the St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
    Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Stella (Erdman) Bingaman of 654 State Route 225, Dalmatia, whom he married Aug. 4, 1968; one sister, Arlene, wife of Paul Dockey of Pillow; one nephew, Duane Dockey of Pillow; one niece, Denise Dockey of Harrisburg; two sisters-in-law, LaRue, wife of Robert Machamer of Hegins, and Sandy, wife of Alan Long of Milton; one brother-in-law, Rue Erdman Jr. of Middleburg; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and his pet cats.
    There will be no viewing. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, with the Rev. Jan Mills officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery, Klingerstown.

    He was born on Thursday, July 13, 1939, in Lykens, a son of the late Roland and Elsie Hummel Machamer.
    He was a 1957 graduate of the former Williamstown High School; where he was class president. He received his Bachelors in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University in 1961.
    He taught elementary school in the Tri-Valley School District for 35 years prior to his retirement.
    He was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hegins; where he was a member of the church choir and participated in many productions of the Friedens Church Players.
    He was a member and past master of F&AM Valley Lodge 797 Valley View, a former member of the Hegins Valley View Rotary Club, and vice president of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. He was also a participating member of several local gun clubs and a social member of various local organizations.
    Bob was involved in many sports activities. He was a championship ATA Trap Shooter; winning many competitions including PA State Champion in 1984. He was elected into the Trap Shooter Hall of Fame in Elysburg.
    Bob enjoyed sharing his zest of life with others and was very competitive in various activities.
    He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Lentz.
    He is survived ny his wife, LaRue H. (Erdman) Machamer, to whom he was married for 49 years; a son, Robert M. Machamer Jr., Hegins; a sister, Loretta Peters, Lebanon; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Warren Egebo and the Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, PO.
